bulldogops (2490) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 22, 2015
Rating #1334. 1.12.2014. 500mL Can, 1st beer of the BeerAdvent Calendar (Costco) Little bit of tan bubbly foam on a bodacious black brew. Lots of cool toasted malt chocolate coffee aromas. Palate is light crisp and full of flavour, but very light bodied. This is sessionable (north americanese - crushable) and a killer bad boy black lager. Kloister on, donkey kong.

Benzai (15586) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - AUG 25, 2015
Bottle @ home. Lightly hazy dark ruby red color, medium sized off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, a hint of dark fruit, caramel, light to moderately bitter. Decent to medium body and carbonation.

Copper with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of bready malt with a little hay. Sweetish malty flavour with bread and caramel. Drying bitterness in the finish

yespr (45412) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - APR 3, 2009
50 cL bottle. Pours clear and deep golden hazzlenut brown with a small tan head. Breadish malt aroma, light roasted and vague caramelish. Mild roasted toffee malt flavoured, subdued sweetness. Roasted malty flavoured finish.

3.4
Grima (2394) - Merzkirchen, RLP, GERMANY - JUN 26, 2011
The glass is a deep, almost black beer with a good, fine creamy head The smell is roasted malty. Starts roasty with good malt body, medium bodied, also slightly sweet caramelly in the background. The finish is rather bitter coffee, the caramel flavor comes through more and more. The further course remains dominant malty with great hints of caramel!

3.4
TaxiDriver (1775) - Stadland, GERMANY - OCT 21, 2011
Bottle. The nice smell of chocolate and malt, light aroma of cookies. The medium large beige head is creamy and foamy with a normal duration, the body is nearly black. A nice malty taste with a touch of chocolate, the finish is a little bit bitter. The body is light and creamy with a lively carbonation.

3.4
blackisle (2577) - Amsterdam IJburg, NETHERLANDS - SEP 14, 2013
UPDATED: DEC 7, 2013 caramel, roasty, coffee, herbs, earthy, opaque copper color, frothy head that disappears quickly, sweetbitter, light body, creamy, average carbonation, sweetbitter malty finish, soft and mild beer, well-made but lacks real character

3.4
Erzengel (8702) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - DEC 23, 2013
Mild-malziger Antrunk.
