a very generic lager. better than most mass produced swill but very unintersting. a trace of hops does emerge on tasting but on the whole this is a weak bland pilsner.
2 warnings - has a tendency to get skunked (green bottle) and is often overpriced since it is a import beer.

Well, it looks like beer, it makes a noise like beer when you pour it, it smells a little like beer, and it tastes a little like beer. If you want to braise bratwursts, this is well-suited for it. Terminus (3679) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - FEB 27, 2002
Your typical bitter German style beer. If you have had Becks then you might know what I am talking about. Drinkingdan (375) - East Norriton, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 27, 2002
If becks isn’t available I will take it. 5crown99 (9) - Maryland, USA - FEB 26, 2002 does not count
my favorite mass market german brand, far superior to becks.

It was better than I thought it would taste. hopshead (24) - Asheville, North Carolina, USA - FEB 22, 2002
Not as ’hoppy’ as Becks, yet very nice on it’s own. Worth a try. estoppel (1028) - Buffalo, New York, USA - FEB 20, 2002

Compared to other German’s it is fairly drinkable. Still has the classic skunk and bitter taste though.
