Two row spring barley from the south of England, a special strain of yeast, ice-age glacier water from the "Rotenburger Rinne," plus hops from the famous "Hallertau Hop Gardens" in southern Germany are the ingredients that give St. Pauli Girl Lager its unsurpassed quality and taste and keeps you coming back for more.

Another German beer meant for the American market only......................

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2004 A mass market beer, but not nearly as bad as some. I can’t get past the smell/taste of rotten cheese that bombards my senses.

I was expecting MUCH more from this one. Dissolved my preconceived notion of what German Beer is. Very average, and I noticed a slightly metallic aftertaste. This must be Germany's answer to Budweiser for the American Market.

A great beer, and seeing it here makes me wonder why I don't but it more often. A bit bitter in aftertaste, but nothing wong with it up front. A great refrigerator variety for Heineken at the same price. Look Cutured, impress your freiends, but don't overwhelm them. The 'green bottle curse' is a lie, enjoy!

This is quite average, I used to like it 10 years ago but as my tastes mature and the skunky aroma is a turn-off on this one. This should be 'Extra Skunky Pilsener'...

UPDATED: APR 6, 2003 Yea, this was kind of nasty. So the fuck what if it's imported and has a nice bottle, still tasted of ass.

This came out in the US when I was in high school, and we thought Heineken was the world's best beer. This cost a little more, so naturally this became the world's best beer. Actually, it is brewed only for the US market, and a St. Pauli girl is a prostitute. I haven't drank this for at leat 15 years but I can still taste that skunk...

Tastes like Heineken..........................................

BeerBaron5299 (18) - USA - JAN 30, 2002
this isn't that great. Its probably the kind of skanky keg beer they drink at colleges in Germany.

It seemed skunked to me and its wasnt the most pleasent taste...............
