Two row spring barley from the south of England, a special strain of yeast, ice-age glacier water from the "Rotenburger Rinne," plus hops from the famous "Hallertau Hop Gardens" in southern Germany are the ingredients that give St. Pauli Girl Lager its unsurpassed quality and taste and keeps you coming back for more.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild cornish. Light grassy hops flavoured. Cornish too. Ends dry and bitter. Simple and plain international lager.

Ungstrup (37558) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 14, 2009
Bottled. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with light notes of malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, citrus, and straw, leading to a lightly cardboardy finish. Not in peak condition, inspite of it not expiring until 7 months from now.

Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 22, 2007
(Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear, pilsener golden. Lovely floral hop aroma. Medium body with a clean and fairly sweet malt base. Dry bitterness but not overly hoppy. A well crafted pilsener. 220307

yellow with small white head. Smells scruffy. Tastes bland. No reason to drink this one.

Koelschtrinker (20388) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 6, 2011

mcberko (17809) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 28, 2010
12 oz. bottle, pours yellow with a white head. Run-of-the-mill lager here, dominated by rice. Better than the North American macro-lagers...

Oakes (17642) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 18, 2000
One of the least interesting German beers. For mass-market beer, it’s still not bad, but it’s not like its hard to find Bitburger or Wernesgruner these days.

jtclockwork (16581) - , New Jersey, USA - MAY 14, 2010
Pours almost clear white with yellowish tint. Nose and taste is light pines and spruce. Little floral hops. Rated 2/3/2000

bhensonb (15187) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 25, 2007
Sweet light malt aroma with a touch of floral/grassy hop. Brassy color with a fine white head that laced a very little. Medium bodied. Fairly carbonated. Lightly sweet maltiness balanced by a bit of hop. It’s ok; lots better than Bud. However, it doesn’t have much bitter at the finish. That leaves me thinking something’s missing - like a little more hop. Must be aimed towards American tasteless standards. It is not quite crisp, and I did not find it refreshing. Just an ok lager.
