COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Two row spring barley from the south of England, a special strain of yeast, ice-age glacier water from the "Rotenburger Rinne," plus hops from the famous "Hallertau Hop Gardens" in southern Germany are the ingredients that give St. Pauli Girl Lager its unsurpassed quality and taste and keeps you coming back for more.

another slightly better than average yellow beer. not really skunky, so kudos for that, but not something i’ll buy again either. there are better pilseners out there when the mood hits."

deyholla (12588) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 29, 2010
Bottle. Poured clear gold with a white head that was bubbly and dissipated quickly. Aroma had notes of grain, bread and hay with a bit of grassy hops. Flavor was similar, mainly grains with just a bit of grassy hops.

Very light yellow color, frothy head. Creamy malt body witha little hop bitter. Weak and thin overall.

shrubber85 (11706) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - DEC 31, 2005
Bottle. Sweet-sour, slightly musty aroma. Light golden yellow with small head. Slightly sweet barley malt with a mild hops finish. I can see why I thought this was the world’s greatest beer back in my BMC days. Oh well, New Year’s Eve is meant to be spent with old friends even if they don’t mean as much to you as they use to.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2013 BOTTLE: Ugg - green bottle pilsner. Pours straw yellow, mild head. Skunky grainy aroma and taste. Drain pour.

hopscotch (11434) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - NOV 28, 2003
Although it's brewed with 100% barley malt, it's hardly more enjoyable than any other rice-brewed American Standard.

faroeviking (11337) - Chupando chellas es como ellas, FAROE ISLANDS - MAR 15, 2007
Bottle. Golden colour, bit sweet grainy and hoppy aroma, which appear in the flavour too with some maltiness. More the memories from drinking so many of this than the taste that makes me like it. Nice label though. Check out the St. Pauli Us website! Nice St. Pauli girl there!

DocLock (11189) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 28, 2004
Pale yellow in color, with aroma of slight malt and corn. Tastes rather bland, but a slight notch above BMC stuff. I can’t believe that this used to be the "beer snob" favorite at many Penn State parties.

2.8
ManVsBeer (11168) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 24, 2012
At the lower end of the German beer market, but this pils is still good for a few.
