Opaque dark brown. Medium brown head, medium retention. Aroma intensity 3.75/5. Coffee, toast, nuts and metal aroma, broken up by floral notes from the hops, plus butter. Medium bitter. Subtle sweet. Bready aftertaste. Full body. Less thicker texture than meets the eye. Hoos: Fuggles, Challenger

Bottle. Pitch black color, fine, finger thick beige head. Nuts, cocoa, coffee and toasted malt aroma, just great. Very dry, but not too dry taste, high bitterness. The aftertaste holds more nuts and cocoa, bitter sweet chocolate and a hint of ash. Nice carbonation, not to high but refreshing, wonderfully creamy body and texture.

A well-made English Stout never fails to surprise me. The fact that something can have a moderate amount of alcohol and still be so full-bodied, rich, and opaque astounds me every time. St Peters looks almost impossibly pretty with its thick-pouring body and mousse-like brown head with specks of black. Toasted barley aromas with some cocoa. Chocolate (bittersweet dark and milk), cream, and licorice flavors. Thick feel and a dry, fruity finish. This would be perfect for someone who loves the huge feel of American Stout but is intimidated by the intense bitterness.

Dense black appearance with a thin, tan head with minimal retention. The aroma consists of bakers chocolate, woody/herbal hops, medium roast cold brew coffee, some caramel. The flavors match the aroma with a medium intensity cold brew coffe roast, light toffee and caramel notes with a long dry bittersweet chocolate finish. The mouthfeel is creamy as promised with a resemblance to a milk stout.
