"We use our Wheat Beer as the base for this beer. The zesty/pithy grapefruit is in complete harmony with the hops and malt."

On Cask at The Rake, Aroma of white grapefruit, amazing, appearance is clear bronze. Flavour of bitter grapefruit was frankly just what the doctor ordered! Very refreshing. Didnt stay on the palate too long though.

Aromat silnie grejfrutowy.

Smells of grapefruit, tastes of grapefruit. An unusual beer to be sure but it is a very clean and refreshing beer.

Gravity cask at the Bree Louise. Pours clear gold with a scarce head. Aroma is huge grapefruit, very authentic, with some toasted malts poking through. The flavor is incredibly true, tasting very much like grapefruit. Quite bittersweet, like the fruit, with malty sugars and grass bitters. Light to medium in body with soft carbonation. Finishes just like eating/drinking grapefruit, a little sticky, a little sweet, lots of rindy bitters, then some bready malts come in at the very end. If you like real grapefruit you should love this. Quite authentic.

On cask at The Alexander Graham Bell. Pours a golden colour with a fair white head. A lovely aroma of grapefruit, orange sherbet, candy sugar and caramel. Similar flavours with mild bitterness. Not tart with mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Very nice with lingering grapefruit and orange sherbet again.

Cask conditioned - Air Dispense - Jerusalem Tavern Britton Street Central London. (RB London Xmas Crawl 2004). Delicious grapefruit aroma to this copper coloured beer. Drinking it is just like having grapefruit segments at breakfast. Really tart grapefruit but not in the same way as a hoppy beer would show citrus qualities. A difficult one to define because it is tasty, but its all a bit false.

Dec, 2004:Jerusalem Tavern - a St Peters pub. Huge grapefruit aroma. Fresh and lovelt. Grapefruit again in flavour. Like a blood grapefruit. Nice, dry, slightly puckering finish. Wow! When fresh and lively this stuff is a revelation! London Xmas Crawl.[3.7]

500 ml bottle, as St. Peter’s Fruit Beer Grapefruit, bought at Vaaland Spesialbutikken, Bryne. ABV is 4.7%. Deep golden colour, moderate white head. Strong and pleasant aroma of grapefruit, also moderate notes of malts and toffee. The flavour is zesty with plenty of grapefruit, also a distinct hoppy bitterness in the finish. I love notes of "grapefruit" in a beer when they are caused by American hops, but actually adding grapefruit flavouring to the beer might mean a bit too much of the good stuff. Still, this is a refreshing and very drinkable beer, which requires that you have a crush on grapefruit to be really enthusiastic about it.

[cask at Jerusalem Tavern, Clerkenwell] Slightly cloudy from the cask behind the bar, the aroma is deep grapefruit as the actual fruit, rather than a zesty hop smell. Very zesty and sharp on the taste - must be refreshing when drunk in summer, without doubt. Short aftertaste as the grapefruit zip comes to an end. Really nice [06112008]
