Available brewery conditioned and cold filtered in 500ml bottles. Cask: Special - 2011 JDW Autumn Beer Festival.
"English Halcyon malts are used together with lager malts. Golding hops provide the bitterness and aroma. The result is a highly distinctive light, golden ale similar in character to a full bodied Czech lager."

Bottle from Morrisons, Birtley, Gateshead. Bright golden coloured with a very thin white head. It has a caramel and burnt toffee flavour with earthy notes and warming fruit on the smooth finish. Good.

Cask at the Jerusalem Tavern. A standard quaffable golden ale from these guys. Not the best finish or overall product. Prefer their organic ales.

Хороший янтарный эль с приятным ароматом солода и легкой горчинкой. Приятное легкое послевкусие, хорошая питкость, ничего лишнего.

Davros IX (611) - Hertford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 29, 2017
Bottle at sister-in law’s house. A generic golden beer, made a bit more interesting by the "St Peter’s bitterness" that is present in so many of their beers. It was refreshing and pleasant, but nothing spectacular.

TimE (6349) - Tokyo, JAPAN - AUG 19, 2017
Medium golden color that smells like wort fermenting at a brewery, which is nice, but this is pretty one-dimensional.

GuideDogSaint (1817) - Xiamen, CHINA - AUG 7, 2017
Cask at the Volunteers Arms, GBBF. Pours golden amber with a white head. Aroma of malt and slight vinegar. Not great and it should be here.

Bread, Hoppy smell. It has a typical copper bitter kind of taste. Quite a bready/yeasty, taste, It almost tastes a bit like Marmite Quite a non descript taste really. Not bad, quite strong in percentage but has the taste of a session type beer. Not bad but probably not one i’d rush back to it.

Quickly getting through thirds of beers I’ve been gifted and are taking up room. Bread and hay, some floral elements, dough. Bright gold, impressively so. Thin creamy white head. Some sweetness before it gets bitter. A hint of citrus. Malty base. Medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long astringent finish. Fair enough. An OK gold.

Drunk at the fishery inn Hemel Hempstead from draft. Copper coloured no head, fairly weak tasting not much to it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

At Red Lion. Yay! A non-skunked one. Such a cool bottle, but unfortunately green. Anyway, nice stuff, full body and flavor for a golden ale. Malty with fruity yeast. Serving: Bottle
