Served in a tulip from a 500ml bottle. Pours very dark brown with a thin quickly diminishing beige head. Aroma is honey, roasted malts and smoke. Taste is bitter-sweet, slightly floral and malty with very well pronounced and lingering honey and smoky aftertaste. Thin body with medium carbonation. Clear honey notes in both the aroma and the taste make this beer very enjoyable! As an added bonus it doesn’t have too much sweetness in it! Nice one.

Bottle at home. Lightly smokey, hint of honey sweetness, a bit thin on texture. Light bodied.

Wer ein honey porter möchte bekommt eins! Dunkles braun schwacher schaum, Geruch honig Malz karamell, Geschmack kräftig honig leichte bittere röst Aromen Malz und karamell recht schönes bitteres finish, ich finde das Bier unterbewertet da man bekommt was auf dem Etikett steht...

Unfortunately this beer looks nice, but tastes horrible. Aroma is as mentioned before beeswax, sweet and tobacco. Extremely unbalanced, smells like I imagine a beehive smelling. Taste is on par and even worse. Watery mouthfeel but then it starts getting horrible, artificial, beeswaxiness, tastes like it has gone off. Finish is disgusting. Like licking a tyre. Eugh. Disappointing, I usually like their beers.

The aroma is quite pleasant, very dark honey and almost no stout/beer aroma. Appearance is nice, classic porter style. The taste is terrible, unfortunately - it tastes as though somebody dropped in loads of tabacco and beeswax by accident, it is not sweet at all (surprising for a honey beer), very roasty, but not in a good way, more in a really bitter way, which also defines a long not-so-pleasant aftertaste. I am not sure who will really like this.

Tastes like bee wax. Very far from traditional porter. I prefer stronger taste

Bottle from supermarket. I had high expectations to this beer. After opening the bottle and getting the aroma, I knew I am not going to like it. The beer didn’t give much of a head while being poured to a glass. Taste had too much honey for me, not good at all.

Pours glass rich darl brown. Aroma is really intresting. Is rich, fudge or caramel and honey. But the biggest problem is the light and bit of sparklng taste. Light bodied, thin texture and too much carbonation.

I love porter style beers. And I (somewhat) love honey. So, a porter beer enriched with honey aroma sounds very interesting. However, "interesting’ doesn’t always translate into "good". So. Good idea went wrong, and you know it the moment you open the bottle. You don’t smell beer, you smell pure honey. Taste is not much different either. There’s just no beer to be found in there! And porter beers are usually pretty strong and intense with their taste and aroma. Not the case here, tho. Honey killed the beer. Overall, it tastes like a cheap cola with intense honey. I can’t even call this one a beer. Not my cup of tea.

Bottiglia 500 ml.
