Tastes like bee wax. Very far from traditional porter. I prefer stronger taste

Bottle from supermarket. I had high expectations to this beer. After opening the bottle and getting the aroma, I knew I am not going to like it. The beer didnt give much of a head while being poured to a glass. Taste had too much honey for me, not good at all.

Pours glass rich darl brown. Aroma is really intresting. Is rich, fudge or caramel and honey. But the biggest problem is the light and bit of sparklng taste. Light bodied, thin texture and too much carbonation.

I love porter style beers. And I (somewhat) love honey. So, a porter beer enriched with honey aroma sounds very interesting. However, "interesting doesnt always translate into "good". So. Good idea went wrong, and you know it the moment you open the bottle. You dont smell beer, you smell pure honey. Taste is not much different either. Theres just no beer to be found in there! And porter beers are usually pretty strong and intense with their taste and aroma. Not the case here, tho. Honey killed the beer. Overall, it tastes like a cheap cola with intense honey. I cant even call this one a beer. Not my cup of tea.

Bottiglia 500 ml.

Bottle. Immense sweet honey character overwhelming any porter style flavours. Too bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500ml bottle. Dark cola colour, pours with a thin caramel coloured head. Strong and agreeable aroma of honey. Taste is weaker than the scent, with less honey and a lingering note of floral violets. Smooth on the palate. Pleasantly surprising.

Bottle 500 ml. Brown color with weak foam. Aroma: honey (a bit artificial), caramel, vanilla and candy. Taste: sweet, honey, caramel, malt, slightly hops.

Bottle @ home. Pours with a dark reddish-brownish colour, small off-white head. Aroma is what you would expect from mixing honey with a porter: some notes of coffee and chocolatr, bu a distinct note of honey as well; not very elegant, and somehow not so inviting. Taste is slightly sweet, slightly bitter; frankly, Ive drunk lots of better beers than this one. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, unpleasant bitter finish. I love porters and I love honey, but for Gods sake - dont mix them, trust me.

The aroma is all about honey, sweet and herbal. Taste is also dominated by honey and a more herbal note with a medium body. Over all the beer is much to sweet, watery and a bit to artificial in flavour. Like a package of dissolved honey herb bonbons from the pharmacy.
