500 ml bottle. The bottle is a replica of an original bottle from the early 1800s. Pours clear very dark brown, almost black, with a tiny head. Sweet honey aroma. Roasty malt taste with strong honey notes. Slightly bitter honey palate.

I bought this bottle or I could say this medicine at the drink of the world in Zurich. I drank it yesterday with my wife at Lausanne. We were not sick but I could say that it is the perfect pint, if you suffer of one angina or any illness due to the cold weather. The appearance is black, troubled, thin and white foam, average carbonation. The taste is dry but you really smell the honey, it just misses the bees, you really get the impression to drink some candies for the throat, malt, some hop but the honey takes the power over the others ingredients, distasteful.

UPDATED: APR 1, 2017 Zwart / donkerrood iets lichtdoorlatend, crčmekleurige schuimkraag, voldoende koolzuur, vrij helder.Aroma: Toffee, honing, vanille, karamel, roomboterbabbelaar.

Bijna zwarte kleur, mooie plakkraag. Ruikt sterk naar honing. Smaak is ook honing, vanille, beetje zure afdronk.

Bottle. Pours a dark red-brown with an one finger off-white head. A sour aroma. Taste of English liquorice, some vanilla and coffee. Thin mouth feel a bit watery for a Porter.

Bottle from local bottle shop. Aroma is dark malt, strong honey, lots of vanilla, some roasted notes and a hint of chocolate. Flavour is medium sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Body is medium. Too heavy on the honey for my taste.

Bottle. Clear dark brown color, fairly small white head. Intense honey aroma, beside that also a bit of chocolate and caramel. Dry taste, high, acrid bitterness. Honey aftertaste, together with chocolate forms a great combination, but has also a somewhat artificial floral taste. Very low carbonation, could be a tad higher, thick mouthfeel.

koshack (1784) - Gdańsk, POLAND - SEP 17, 2016
Intensywny aromat miodowy. Raczej wielokwiatowy niż jakiś konkretny i trochę sztuczny. Pod nim chyba ciemne słody, ale miód mocno wszystko dominuje. W smaku zaskakująco wytrawny. W pierwszej nucie gorzkawy, potem nuta miodowa i znów gorzkawy posmak. Dziwna ta mieszanka. Ładna butelka, ale samo piwo kiepskie.

Didn’t meet the expectations. Only aroma of honey is being used instead of actual honey. Bread, roasty, leather, honey. Brown, clear body, frothy, brown head. Medium sweet and bitter and lightly sour. Light bodied, dry. soft carbonation with long finish.
