3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Waitrose: I was really impressed with this one. For a 3.7% beer it certainly packs a lot of flavour in there. Lots of roasted malt, a little chocolate and a lovely oily mouthfeel to it. Fantastic example of a well crafted mild.
Bottle from Waitrose. A decent mild, a comforting pint of mild. Malty and not too heavy or light. samsomuk (416) - Bridgwater, Somerset, ENGLAND - SEP 6, 2017

Bottled, 500 ml (ABV 3.7%).
Almost black in colour with a medium sized creamy beige head on its top, which leaves a thin film behind.
Malty nose and aroma ruled by caramel, chocolate and coffee underpainted by some fruity hints, mouthfeel is slick.
Bittersweet, roasty finish. Towey1989 (3437) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 13, 2017
Bottle. Pours a deep brown colour with a medium beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, toffee, some plum, slight dark berries, a little brown sugar and subtle coffee. Taste of roasted malts, chocolate, some toffee, slight plum, a little dark berries, a hint of coffee and subtle milky sweetness. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A dryish, lightly roasted, chocolate bitterness in the finish. Lots of great malty flavours in this, chocolate, toffee, some fruit and a lightly roasted bitterness. Better body than other milds around 3.7%. Great. ozzatoadisback (224) - ITALY - JAN 30, 2017
Pours very dark brown (almost black) with a dense white head that shows nice retention and lacing. Aroma has gently roasted and chocolate malts, and maybe a touch of fruitiness. Taste shows a bit of malt sweetness with a gentle milk coffee feel (quite milk stout like). Light chocolate. Gentle roasted malts notes to bring balance. Again, maybe a fruity hint. Sweetness and bitterness are overall both mild and in good balance. Light bodied with light carbonation, easy and decently silky mouthfeel. Very much doing it’s job in being an enjoyable mild. Quite nice.

On tap @Birrifugio Trastevere (Roma), with Pippi. Al naso sentori di malti tostati, caffè, cioccolato in polvere e un accenno di erba tagliata. In bocca ha un corpo molto esile, dolce all’attacco con finale amaro delicato, bilanciata nel complesso. Corpo leggerissimo, carbonazione soft. Delicata come una carezza.
