Amber colour, thick off-white head. Lush biscuity malts and fair floral hopping both on nose and tongue. Medium bitterness. Not bad.Davros IX (354) - Hertford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 30, 2017

Bottle at home served cellar cool. A very nice, easy drinking bitter that ticked all of the boxes: malt, hops and a low carbonation. I was really surprised by this and I will return. degbert (1773) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAR 25, 2017
Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a thin, white head that disappears quickly. Nose is cherry, berry, toast, and smoke; quite light. On the tongue, it’s caramel, cherry, stone fruit, and smoke; there’s a faint ashy bitterness underneath, and a bit of wheat toast. Not much on the finish; it’s a little hollow. Good enough, but lacking in gravitas. cattaneopapa (391) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 14, 2017
Pours a deep golden colour with a minimal head. Aromas of honey, bread, basement aromas and some floral notes. Taste has a malty backbone with a well balanced hoppy finish. Not bad but it’s not my cup tea.

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2017 Draught at the Jerusalem Tavern. An incredibly easy drinking cask ale that has superb palate. It could go the distance on any drinking occassion as it is quite watery which some may not lke. 4/5
Bottle at home, bought from Sainsburys. A decent, gluggable ale that tasted a lot more creamy than watery as it did last. Slight lager finish this time. 3.5/5./

UPDATED: JAN 18, 2017 500 ml bottle into imperial pint glass, bottled on 11/24/2015. Pours slightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a small dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, honey, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of bready malt, earthy hops, and light-moderate fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of big lemon, pear, apple, honey, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of honey, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malt, earthy hops, and light-moderate fruity yeast flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and minimal lingering hop astringency after the finish. Touch of diacetyl, but otherwise quite clean and not overly yeasty. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Light carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, and slightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a very good English bitter style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malt, earthy hops, and light-moderate fruity yeast flavors; very smooth, easy, and pretty refreshing to drink. Very flavorful for the ABV, and very well balanced. A very enjoyable offering. freretoc (1935) - Besançon, FRANCE - DEC 4, 2016

Pours dark yellow, slightly cloudy with beige foam that fades. Malt in the nose, with some grassy hops and maybe a little floral. The taste is mild with the grassy hops balancing the malt well. Slightly slick texture with a bitter finish.

500 ml bottle. Pours a near clear straw yellow with a moderate white head. Aromas are chalk, light crystal malt, and lemon biscuit? Tastes are dry, chalky malt, somewhat grainy and bitter. Light body, soft on the palate, short, mildly astringent and grainy finish.
