Bottle. Caramel color, clear, minimal short offwhite head quickly disappearing. Aroma of caramel toffee roasted malts and grains. Grassy notes. Taste is a bit flat light bitter. Light body soft carbonation mild dry clean finish, easy to drink. Classic red ale.

Bottle from local bottle shop. Aroma is malt, caramel, nuts, toffee, butterscotch, fruity notes, with a slight smokey touch. Flavour is above medium sweet with a fairly bitter finish. Body is light to medium. Not a bad Bitter, has some rich malty nutty flavours.

Bottle in multipack from Waitrose. Pours pretty red tinged with brownish head. Aroma rich with cereals, bread, raisins and a slight earthiness.

Slight/medium aroma of malts, caramel, nuts, bread and roasted malts.

Turbid/opaque red/dark brown beer with a slight/medium beige head.

Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel and nuts; ends slightly bitter and dry with bread and roasted malts.

This beer is rather intense, complex and balanced. The aroma could have been stronger and the palate less average. Tastes good and is a decent beer overall. Fails to satisfy me, like all Bitters so far.

Diabobale (541) - ITALY - SEP 25, 2016
Di color rubino con riflessi aranciati e una schiuma quasi assente, al naso presenta sentori di malti caramellati e carruba. Al palato si avverte il caramello e l’amaro speziato della segale, con un finale terroso. Corpo esile, carbonazione bassa, ottima secchezza.

One of my favorite beer! Pours gold colour beer with a medium head. Well-balanced!

nephirem (622) - CROATIA - SEP 4, 2016
Pours clear dark ruby body with small and short lasting white head. Smell is lots of caramel and toffee, a bit syrupy. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation and watery texture. Bittersweet and herbal. Aroma of malts, caramel, toffee, herbs, syrup, licorice. Notes of smoke and honey in the mouthfeel. Finish is long lasting, herbal and mostly dry. Overall, nice brew. Lacking in originality a bit, but nice nonetheless.

Swaroga (2224) - Warszawa, POLAND - AUG 5, 2016
Brown with small, beige head. Pleasant aroma of toffee, toasted bread, spice bread, dried plums, some little figs, black tea. Small carbonation. It has also quite soft, small to medium thick body. Beer is mostly about malts, medium sweet, burned cake notes. Delicate bitter with notes of roasted nuts, herbs and cake bottom. Nice.
