Golden and hazy. Solid peated aroma and not much else. Taste is also peaty with a somewhat bitter finish. Better than the whiskey beer, but still not very awesome. borisz (418) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 20, 2012
Clear golden of color with a small white head. An aroma of smoke, dry, leather and no sweets. A dry, smoked flavor with tar.

0.5l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. This is a light blurry golden-honey colored one with a small just off-white top. Some traces of woody peat in the aroma next to hints of smoky sausage, not extreme. Having a hard time finding anything else here really. It’s soft+ on the carbonation level with a gentle soft oily mouthfeel. Would not say that it’s directly subtle on the smoky taste, but it’s definitely one dimensional. Light peat smoky ham all the way. Ends almost boring and somewhat watery. Not an exciting one in my book. 24.09.2012 larsga (7629) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 16, 2012
Medium white dense head. Clear coppery body with carbonation. Smoky peaty oily aroma with salt water and herbal notes. Dry-sweetish smoky peaty grassy taste with oily toffee notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, smooth mouthfeel. Dryish toffee and salty smoky aftertaste with fruity herbal notes. Very interesting, definitely different, and highly likeable. (0.5l bottle, wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)

Clear golden beer, lazy carbonation. Very smoky aroma. The smoke dominates it all, anmd it comes across as too cigarette-like for me. Ober (2818) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - SEP 3, 2012

500ml green bottle at The Jerusalem Tavern. Clear amber-gold, bubbly, with a large creamy-foamy lasting beige head, thick coats of lacing. Where is the love for this beer? Solid but light Islay peat and iodine, subtle enough to allow the fresh cereal gain backbone to come through, just a bit of alcohol character. Taste follows, on the sweet side, definite salve and bandaid in there, a touch of sulphur - nice, if a bit mild. Light, chewy and astringent mouthfeel, mild bottle carbonation, with a medium lengthed bitter/peaty lightly acidic finish. I would have no problem drinking 2-3 bottles of this one - for once RESTRAINED peaty/whisky character. sfhodense (4788) - Odense NØ, DENMARK - AUG 29, 2012
Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma is peated smoke, light malt and fruity notes. Flavour is malt, heavy peated smoke and fruity notes. stobbe74 (3789) - DENMARK - AUG 28, 2012
Pours a clear and golden beer with a weak white head. The aroma is malt, peat and smoke. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is sweetness and smoke. Overall a boring and one dimensional beer.
