"Whisky Beer"
A superb balanced beer with ’smokey’ overtones from peated malt. With a measure of English Whisky from St. George’s Distillery in Norfolk, it is rich in flavour.

Finn (7547) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUN 16, 2014
Flaske 0,5l fra Vinmonopolet, Tromsø Langnes. Mørk gyldenbrun. Høyt luftig skum med kniplingslacing. Skummet daler sakte. Litt tung whiskyaroma. Smaken er røkt torv - på grensen til fjøs. Lite annet. Ikke helt vellykket.

MonsterMagnet (1444) - NETHERLANDS - JUN 9, 2014
Bottle. Pours amber with a small white head. Aroma: peat mainly. Taste: malty with caramel and peat. Fairly dry finish. Unremarkabke except for the peat.

Bottle 500 ml at home, poured into a tulip. ABV 4.8% Dark orange colour on the body, light activity in the glass. Small and froathy white head, with average retention. Light lacing on the glass. Aroma of smoke and peat mainly, with soe light malts and caramel on the background. Taste has also smoke, peated malts, light acidity. Thin body, soft caronation. Mildly dry palate. Overall okay.

Orangegoldenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch extrem rauchig, Torf, Whiskey, der Geschmack ist auch nicht besser.

Geokkjer (7627) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 16, 2014
Bottle. Pours clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of peat, iodine, some malt and fruitiness. Flavor is sweet and malty with some fruitiness and peat. Medium body, average carbonation.

Tasted and smelled very much of iron. Horrible. Had to hold my breath while drinking. Won’t have this again.

Inbreak (5941) - Loddefjord, NORWAY - APR 3, 2014
03.04.2014, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Small bubbly shoerlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet, peated malts, leather, caramel, sugar, hay, butterscotch. Taste is slightly dry, peated malts, hay, grass, leather, oak, caramel. Medium bitterness, watery mouthfeel. Pretty boring!

mike_77 (6661) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - MAR 3, 2014
Hazy blond colour with lots of left over yeast in the bottom of the glass. Strong smokey, peaty aroma. A bit salty. There’s a flavour of dry, hoppy beer with salty, smokey, meaty taste. Some sweeter, softer malt flavours come through in the finish. Lots of flavour in beer of only 4.8%.

mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 2, 2014
[5232-20130418] 500mL bottle. Whiskey barrel peat aroma. Slightly hazy, light orange body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Smoked wood peat flavour has a long charred peat aftertaste. Medium-full body. Overpoweringly smoky peat everywhere. My husband is super awesome and totally didn’t write this part himself. (Ahem!) (6/3/6/3/13) 3.1
