4.1
crossovert (14135) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 13, 2011
16fl oz white ceramic flip-top botte. It pours extremely light for a Tripel, more like a belgian strong pale, it is a crystal clear/very pale gold with a huge, billowing white head that recedes with a ton of fine lacing. It smells delightful, with big yeast notes, honey, and a massive fruitiness. The flavor isn’t as potent as the smell, btu it is great. It is subtle and fruity, with clean malts and a grassy hop note. The finish is sweet and caramally, but never cloying. The alcohol is well in check. The mouthfeel is prickly but not overwhelming. The drinkability is nearly tops.
