COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The 3MONTS beer : A wonderful return to nature, with its flavour of yesteryear, this is a beer that was drawn from the wooden metal-circled barrels to fill so many mugs in our Flanders bars! Its bitterness comes from our hop fields scattered throughout the region. Brewed by infusions, it is an old-fashioned rising beer made with strong and hearty Flemish hops. Fermented using top yeasts, like the barrel brewers of yore and clamped like bonderised barrels.

Pale yellow golden body under a substantial white head with moderate carbonation. Sweet mild honey and dry hay with some crisp floral aromas. After that not much happening really, though would be quit ok with a mild cheese platter during summer. as it has some pleasing hoppiness.

Empfehlung!

From old tasting notes. Deep golden orange color. Huge rocky yellowish head. Intense tart perfumy aroma. Strong, sweet tangy flavor upfront with a big malty champagne like character. Yeasty midtaste yields to an intense bittersweet finish. Long delicious bittersweet aftertaste. Very like a Saison Ale from Belgium. Splendid lacing.

Bottle, shared at July THT, in front of Kwartje. Last time I had this was probably in the ’90s. Clear golden yellow color. Off white head. Aroma’s: fruit, cardboard, perfumey. Retronasal there’s some cork, fruit, sweetness. Flavor is moderate sweet, a bit alcoholic. Medium bodied. I seem to remember this as a decent bière de garde, but this is just a bland strong blond.
