The 3MONTS beer : A wonderful return to nature, with its flavour of yesteryear, this is a beer that was drawn from the wooden metal-circled barrels to fill so many mugs in our Flanders bars! Its bitterness comes from our hop fields scattered throughout the region. Brewed by infusions, it is an old-fashioned rising beer made with strong and hearty Flemish hops. Fermented using top yeasts, like the barrel brewers of yore and clamped like bonderised barrels.

Definitely not for the faint of heart.Truly one of a kind.Light-medium head and carbonation would make you think it has no body but beware.Starts out on a buttery note followed by oak, sour grapes and a dry acidic and astringent finish.Very long mouthfeel.

It pours crystal-clear pale golden with a huge rocky off-white head. Aroma is quite mild: soft lemon, porridge, grits. Taste is soft, fresh, slightly sweet and not bitter at all. Drinkable but not really enjoyable.

0,75l bottle. Clear golden colour with medium lasting creamy white head. Aroma: Hay, grass and dough. Taste: Has a sweet malty start with softly sour wine-like (cellar) caracters and a decent bitter mouthfeel. That is a well balanced beer, every tone has it's place. The alcohol isn't hiding but not too harh. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Long lasting bitter a little bit dry finish. A great and refreshing but strong and tasty golden ale.

Empfehlung!

From old tasting notes. Deep golden orange color. Huge rocky yellowish head. Intense tart perfumy aroma. Strong, sweet tangy flavor upfront with a big malty champagne like character. Yeasty midtaste yields to an intense bittersweet finish. Long delicious bittersweet aftertaste. Very like a Saison Ale from Belgium. Splendid lacing.

Bottle, shared at July THT, in front of Kwartje. Last time I had this was probably in the ’90s. Clear golden yellow color. Off white head. Aroma’s: fruit, cardboard, perfumey. Retronasal there’s some cork, fruit, sweetness. Flavor is moderate sweet, a bit alcoholic. Medium bodied. I seem to remember this as a decent bière de garde, but this is just a bland strong blond.
