The 3MONTS beer : A wonderful return to nature, with its flavour of yesteryear, this is a beer that was drawn from the wooden metal-circled barrels to fill so many mugs in our Flanders bars! Its bitterness comes from our hop fields scattered throughout the region. Brewed by infusions, it is an old-fashioned rising beer made with strong and hearty Flemish hops. Fermented using top yeasts, like the barrel brewers of yore and clamped like bonderised barrels.

Light, creamy, citrus, alcohol, white wine nose; effervescent, cloudy, lemon yellow hue with fine white foam. Exquisite! Hints of butter, sugar, cake in the flavor, but all VERY light and fresh (a hint of shortbread, but not that heavy). It melts in your mouth...I can't wait to sip another glass. Wonderful!

Bottiglia.

I kept this bottle for almost five years, before the most underwhelming tasting session ever. Ordinary aroma of an uninteresting pale ale, almost skunky as an euro lager, with a touch of sweet maltiness and stonefruit. Flavour is not much better, following the aroma, with a boring grassy bitterness that does not save the day. Colour is as faded gold as the label, with a very bubbly head and the body is rather thin, watery. Gets a 3 on palate for the crispness. Cork clamp is very inconvenient. I have had better ones on this style, but it will definitely put me off for new ones.

From 750ml bottle. Poured with huge, medium sized bubbles head with wonderful formation and head retention. Beer was perfectly crystal clear and beautiful. Aroma was subtle and a little like a white wine. Flavour is subtle with a little bitterness similar to a light lager but is more refined than typical mass market lager
