COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Amber beer (8 % alc. / vol.) refermented in the bottle. A speciality beer brewed over lees in winter using the first malt and hops from the last harvest. Roasted malts give it its characteristic amber hue. Obtained by top fermentation, the "Biere Nouvelle" is characterised by fruity flavours and a good bite. Biere Nouvelle must be served with care (leaving behind the fine yeast sediment) at about 10°C. Available from February while stocks last in 750 ml bottles corked and stamped

2011 vintage - 10% abv 2012 vintage - 9% abv

Miguel (1181) - Saint-Ours, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 2, 2006

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with a longlasting white head. Malty grainy aroma with some spicy hints. Sweet malty grainy and slightly hoppy flavor with some spicy hints. Fruity malty finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Huge, lightly yellow head, quite stable over bright orange-foxy beer. Volatile spices in the nose with cinnamon and clove, as well as sweet cake. Ginger too and orange rind, certainly warming up. Sweet and very spicy with more cinnamon, clove, ginger, and a very faint sourish edge (oranges?), but mainly sweet. Scorched caramel flavour, but not bitter. Bit aggressive, burning MF, not very well-bodied, very slick. Not exactly my favourite, a bit too... too driven... Danke, S!

Bottle, 75cl corked. A clear one, golden in color and with a dense, off-white head of moderate size. Matly, lightly caramel-ish on the nose. Some hoppy fruityness and a faint note of yeast. It’s high on carbonation, but pleasant, dry and full-bodied. Caramel, fruityness, some yeast and a distinct alcoholic touch. Some bitterness towards the end. Although alcoholic, it’s a quite nice beer that I certainly could have with some lunch. 110820

Carbonation is on the high side. O: Pleasant easy to drink could please the macro drinker and balanced enough to please the beer geek.
