Amber beer (8 % alc. / vol.) refermented in the bottle. A speciality beer brewed over lees in winter using the first malt and hops from the last harvest. Roasted malts give it its characteristic amber hue. Obtained by top fermentation, the "Biere Nouvelle" is characterised by fruity flavours and a good bite. Biere Nouvelle must be served with care (leaving behind the fine yeast sediment) at about 10°C. Available from February while stocks last in 750 ml bottles corked and stamped

750ml bottle. pours a pale straw with strong white head. Light nose with bannana, wheat, and a sweetness. Medium body with hints of sweet fruit at the front and a subtle yeastie note. Very light and refreshing considering the high ABV.

Gyllengul mot orange med ett störe gulvitt skum. Doft av malt, hö, karamell och lätta kryddiga jästtoner. I smaken tillkommer en viss alkoholsötma.

From old tasting notes. Brilliant orange gold color topped by a huge rocky beige head. Sharp, assertive malt nose. Sweet, winey malt flavor has a complex fruity character. Dryish champagne-like finish is long and tasty. Very nice indeed.

Bottle pours cloudy copper with off white head, aroma is of spices and cloves. Active mouthfeel with caramel biscuit notes, spice, and a sweet hay finish.

Golden color, large beige head. Crisp aromas of citrus, tropical fruits, yeast and some alcohol. Fresh taste of citrus, floral hops, bananas and slight alcohol. Solid.

A faint hint of vanilla, some spiciness, a lot of grain...the flavors seem hard to quantify. I’m pretty sure I like it, though if I’d known it was French and not Belgian, I wouldn’t have bought it.
