Bottle. Pours a hazy, light amber with a large, off-white head. Aroma is lots of pine and passion fruit in the beginning, almost like an APA. It settles down after a short while though. Taste is pine and passion fruit, some grapefruit there as well. Also, bready malts. Slightly stingy on the finish. Palate is fairly light - but not watery - and carbonated. Pretty good.

330ml bottle (Alko Arkadia, Helsinki)
Lovely fresh bright hoppy citrussy aroma hops. Pale orange, can be poured clear, but there is some crud at the bottom. Lovely large tight white head. Retronasals again crisp and hoppy. There’s a good full graininess to this too, almost eco, but not in a grungy way. Very well attenuated, even though I’ve not had it long, and it’s 5 months before its BB. Even though there’s a smooth fullness to it, in particular once all the crud’s been poured in, the palate is crisp both with the pleasant carbonation and with the bite of bitter hops. Finish is mostly those hops, but the grains never quite leave either. Very "live" - a real lager in the real ale sense. Nicely full flavoured, but so easy to drink. Ooops, it’s gone.

330 ml bottle. #422. Finland.
Dark hazy amber colour with average to big off-white head. Biscuit and caramel malty aroma with candy like hoppiness. Moderate bitterness. Sweet caramel and biscuit malt and piney hoppiness. Some bitterness. Low carbonation. Some homebrew touch. Too expensive.

Amber, slightly hazy, quickly disappearing head. Malty, sweet aroma. Bread, sour, little bitterness. Alright but not matching price tag.

Thanks to my drinking pal Finn for giving me a 330ml bottle, batch 422, of this one. Amber coloured body with a slight haze, stable off-white head. Nose is bready with hints of mid-sweet, herbal hops. Sweet malty flavour mixed with leafy hops. Smooth, subdued hop bitter finish. Refreshing. Ok lager (Tromsø, 04.04.2012).

esox (1226) - Oulu, FINLAND - APR 13, 2012
Bottled. Amber colour, slightly cloudy. Frothy, medium-sized head has nice lace. Aromatic hoppiness has honeyish and floral notes, sweet papaya and a hint of resins and citrusfruits. Light biscuit notes. Somewhat malty, medium sweet flavor is fruity and, sadly, slightly harsh and carboardy. Medium bitterness. Soft, slightly flat palate, finishes slightly hars. Strangely harsh case.
