[ Trade by oh6gdx ]. Clear medium amber orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, celery, moderate hoppy, pepper, light to moderate yeasty. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, sweet yeast, spicy, hoppy, dry, celery notes, pepper notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottled (From Alko Prisma, Vaasa). Hazy amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is fruity, slightly farmyardy with citrus and some slight sweetness. Flavour is rather bitter with some citrus and earthyness. I’d like some more funkyness in the flavour, instead of the big biterness... Still quite a nice one. Batch #476-7D. Slightly hazy amber color, decent beige head. Aroma of fruity American hops, grassyness, berries and tiny note of bretta. Lacks typical Saison yeast aroma. Medium bodied. Fruity, sweetish berryish front. Then some bretta sourness and late piney hoppyness. Orval meets strawberry jam and American hops. Not much Saison to me. On pouring, a lovely crisp grapefruity citrus and exotic fruit aroma. In the glass, the head gives off a classic saisony belgian yeasty aroma, fairly spicy, but sweet too. Slightly biscuitty. Pours a mostly clear orange with huge spongy head that’s fairly persistent. Quite light in the mouth, pleasant carbonation. Spicy and bananaey retronasals. Heavier later, some slightly bocky (i.e. plasticky) sweet malts. Slight saisony funk, but mostly this is just a hoppy belgian ale. Plenty of spicy hops, quite herbal and undergrowthy. Finish has some lighter more aromatic fruits, as well as a nice earthy bitterness. There’s a little bit of everything, it’s a curious mix.

Gold, tight head. Lovely uplifting perfumey aroma. Wheaty palate, but some solvents in retronasals. Fullish palate for a light beer, smooth. Quite bananaey on swallowing. Finish is old dry hops, but does get a little yeasty too. Pleasant saison shame about the downsides.
