Bottled. A malty experience, beige head, minor lacings. Not that distinct an aroma. The flavor is malty with a fresh/dry after taste. Erasmus_ro (3133) - Alabama, USA - FEB 18, 2012
Bottle. Pours black, a dark cola-brown tinge against the light. The head is large and latte-colored. Aroma is roasted malts, lots of liquorice, slight tones of dark fruits. Taste is sweet with liquorice, but also roasted. Turns dry at the finish with dark fruits, chocolate, some wooden notes, slight smoke. Palate is quite carbonated and a bit light.

Black, pours a nice head of medium thickness.
Roasted malt, caramel, hint of licorice and woodsmoke.
Medium dry, no nonsense porter. Maltyness hints you in the aftertaste, the beer is actually surprisingly light when you first sip it. A fairly standard porter with an emphasis on roasted malt.
Porter is perhaps my favourite style of beer, and I’m always keen to try new ones. Having tried so many of them, my criteria is quite strict, so although this could easily be rated 4/5 being a rather nice beer, I’ve dropped one mark because I’ve had so many excellent porters. I feel like this one might be a bit too light if it weren’t for the reasonably high ABV — it supports the characteristics of the beer. The aroma is actually excellent, and I was expecting a very good beer from that. The taste does not disappoint, but it’s not as deep or developed as the aroma might suggest. sayravai (4710) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 6, 2012
(Bottled, rated 2011-11-18) Very dark brown with a largeish, quickly fading, beige head. Dryish nose with mild roastiness, hint of chocolate and oatmeal sourness, and a touch of metal. Sweetish, caramely and mildly roasted flavor with some licorice and chocolate. Some ashy burnedness, that feels out of place in the otherwise sweetish, malty body. Medium to full body, soft CO2. A decently balanced Baltic Porter (it’s been a while since Stallhagen released something drinkable). Unfortunately at this price, this has no chance against the Estonian competitors. dark deep brown liquid, thick creamy silky head, looks stable and solid. slightly see-through. aromascape comes with rye, bread, roasted malt, cream, liqorice, nuts and chocolate. taste is sweet and crispy; solid but light, very low bitterness. balanced and light overall. the body is medium light, and within that lightness comes a full roundness.
