mikeyo1 (877) - Linköping, SWEDEN - JUL 24, 2015
Bottle @ home. Pours dark brown almost black with a nice medium sized head that is layered in tan to beige. Aroma is sweet with coffee, chocolate, herbs, a bit of licorice, toffee and ash. Taste is dry and medium bodied with chocolate, coffee, red fruits and tobacco. Finish has licorice, leather, coffee bitterness, dark chocolate and hints of vanilla.

330 ml. Bottle on the ferry to the Åland islands. A dark, oillike colour with fine, beige head. Roasted, nutty smell. Some coffee, almonds, firewood and chocolate in The taste. Dry, somewhat bitter finish.

Axile (145) - SWEDEN - MAY 18, 2015
Flaska från systembolaget. Svart med beigebrunt skum. Maltig doft med lakrits torkad frukt och choklad. Samma toner i smaken plus en viss rökighet.

klas (415) - SWEDEN - MAY 15, 2015
Bottle bought on ferry to Åland. Malty, chocolate , coffee . Less sweet than other baltic porters, which is good. Maybe a little too much smokiness.

Dazz3 (1799) - Hallsberg, SWEDEN - APR 18, 2015
Bottled. Pours pitch black with a brown head. Smells coffee, dark chocholade and roasted malt. Tastes dark chockolade, coffee, roasted malt with a mild bitter finish.

Toomio (606) - Joensuu, FINLAND - APR 2, 2015
Lyhyt maku, joskin ihan hyvä. Suutuntumakin lyhyt, mutta sekin hyvä. Puolivälin olut.

Kauge (2127) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAR 21, 2015
Bottle as a gift from Helsinki. BB unreadable. Brown in colour, head is tan and big, retains and laces nicely. Both nose and taste - chocolate and toffee with some sourish notes. Tastes consideably bitter as well, especially in the finish. Lactic. Very sweet. Pretty harsh lingering bitterness in the finish. Carbonation active, body medium, palate somewhat grainy. Not too sure about this. Ok to sip while watching a stupid 1980s Sci-Fi movie.

Rune (13658) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAR 21, 2015
330ml bottle bought at Alko in Kemi. Pours a big rocky, fawn-coloured head to a coal black body. Crocheted lacing on the glassware. Taste of brown malts and sweet chocolate. The taste profile follows suit with milk chocolate, dried fruits, and caramel nicely offset by a roasted bitter ending. Well bodied. Enjoying (shared with djoeye, Tromsø 16.03.2015).

djoeye (5280) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAR 17, 2015
Cocoa milk top, about black body. Aroma; coffee, milky chocolate, brown bread, very nice, in harmony with the colour of layer on top. Taste; coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malts, milky notes. Smooth and soft in the mouth. Sweet milky cocoa’ish finish, good. Nice baltic porter. [33cl br.btl abv7% BB1.9.2015 [email protected] Fi Kemi [email protected]]
