New keg. Clear ruby color, good creamy beige head. Caramel and berries in the nose, hints of barnyard. Medium-bodied. Caramel, hints of metal, wild strawberry, perhaps hints of toasted malts. Light vegetably, yeasty notes. Sweetish. Clean, but too safe.
Tap (Kitty’s, Helsinki)rosenbergh (11799) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAR 22, 2012
6 Simply rustic earty brown ale.
4 Rich red, small keggy beige head.
6 Simple sweetish light malts, almost milky. Touch of sweet walnutty huskiness. Almost a spoilt milk aspect later, but not acidic in any way. At worst, it’s a little boring, but this would be a good intro beer to those not familiar with anything apart from dull crap.
3 Simple smooth milky palate, but aggressive carbonation. Finish quite dry and with barky bitterness - UK hops, I’d bet.
12 Needs swirling to defise the bubbles. Simple easy quaffer, a bit dead, but you could session it. Therefore no sign of 5.5% - so well done on that point.
Draught at the Oak Barrel, Helsinki Vantaa Airport, Finland.olio (10549) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 8, 2012
Dark reddish brown colour with small light tan head.
Chocolate, fudge, caramel, nuts and malt in sweet aroma. Flavour is not that sweet but some caramel is present. Malt and mild hops too. Not very complicated but drinkable.
