Bottled (Thx. to jutuahol for bringing it to B’lore). Dark reddish brown coloured. Huge dense light brown head. Lasting. Aroma is light roasted with a touch of liqourice, chocolate and a grassy herbalness. Flavour again is light roasted. Has some coffee and cocoa notes. Is medium bodied. Dry. Ends on a light roasty bitterness with a touch of chocolate. Quite nice. Anker (723) - Hillerød, DENMARK - APR 22, 2009

330 ml bottle. Very dark brown, almost black. Looks clear, but it is
hard to tell. Dry papery roasted aroma with a distinct yeasty
note. Soft texture with a rounded mouthfeel. Fairly low carbonation
level. Roasted flavours, but they are quite mellow. The yeast can
also be found in the flavour. Rounded flavours with a hint of
chocolate and coffee. Nice, but the yeastiness is bad. austone (1062) - Turku; Pori, FINLAND - JAN 2, 2009
Dark brown to black, tiny tanned head. Bitter coffee aroma, little raisins and dark chocolate. First there quite a lot of metal, but it fades out quickly. Strongly coffeeish flavor, dark chocolate, mild smokiness, dried fruits and liquorice. Kinda Impyish flavors, though a lot milder. Light to medium bodied, easy lush carbonation. Alright low ABV sipper, better when warm. mirjukka (752) - LOHJA, FINLAND - DEC 22, 2008

Apperance: Verk dark brown/black with a light, huge, head that vanishes a bit too quickly for my liking.
Aroma: Roasted malt, Chocolate, Caramel.
Flavor: Chocolate, Smoke, Roasted Malts, Bitter Coffee.
Palate: Very balanced and mild with plenty of carbonation. Liquid feels a bit thin.
A very genuine and drinkable Dunkles from Ålands Bryggeri. Could use a bit more body but all in all a nice beer.
