(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of oh6gdx. Pours a very dark brown - almost black - with a discreet tint of red and a light brown head. Lightly burned malt finish. Medium body with sweetish hard roasted malt and some vanilla accents. Lightly malt bitter finish. Lovely beer like quite a few from Stallhagen, so it doesn’t matter much that they simply cannot brew to style. 080408 Ungstrup (38384) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - APR 12, 2008
Bottled. A deep red beer with a small but dense brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of chocolate as well as a light note of roasted malt, lending it a slight acidity. The aroma is sweet malt with notes of roasted malt, lots of chocolate, and light notes of capuchino. It has a nice body. More like a stout than a dunkles. Dark brown with tiny beige short lasting head. Sweet aroma with notes roasted malt, grain and caramel. Sweet flavor with roasted malt, smoke, caramel and coffee notes. yespr (47545) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - APR 8, 2008
33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown to black with a dense and lacing brown head. Roasted malt and chocolate dense aroma. Flavour is light roasted malt with a light acidic touch and a mild sweetness. Ends bitter and acidic roasted. Kavu (5125) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 3, 2008
Very dark, almost no foam. Malty aroma that doesn’t really say much. Almost like a normal lager at first, but the finish has some coffee. Despite that it’s still a bit disappointing finish, but an ok beer.

(3/1/08) Sample from a bottle (I think FatPhil brought this one - thanks!) at the RB table at Zythos Bier Festival 2008 in Sint Niklaas. Dark brown color. Aroma of malt, caramel, a bit of toast and coffee notes. Malty sweet flavor with caramel and notes of coffee. A slightly watery finish. Medium body. Nice and enjoyable. 330ml Bottle- Very dark brown in colour and almost black. Malty aroma with liquorice and aniseed. Rich, bitter taste with plain chocolate, coffee and some aniseed. The richness is not so noticeable after the first sip and it becomes quite smooth. Good quality and it has some porter leanings. The best Ålands beer I have had so far. Almost black, tiny head. Sweet coffee-like aroma. Pleasant mouthfeel - soft and smooth. Slightly gingery hints to a dark burnt malty taste. Sweet and not astringent given how burnt it is. Fairly good dunkel.
Dark brown, nearly black. Thick tan head. Smokyish, malty aroma, hints of coffee and/or chocolate. Flavor is quite burned but not overly so. Slight bitterness in the finish. Quite dry and light. Very pleasant, even better than I expected. Theis (15151) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 8, 2007
Bottle (Thanks Patrick) at "The Amberspecialist" before a KTL concert. Black (almost) - offwhite head. Burned, berries, licorice, dark bread, dry burned, light sweetness, nigh malty. Smooth.
