Almost black, tiny head. Sweet coffee-like aroma. Pleasant mouthfeel - soft and smooth. Slightly gingery hints to a dark burnt malty taste. Sweet and not astringent given how burnt it is. Fairly good dunkel.
Bottle, 5.5% at ZBF08. Roasted malt aroma. Almost black colour. Creamy flavour, slightly sweet. Creamy flavour. Like a good mild porter. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 8, 2007

(3/1/08) Sample from a bottle (I think FatPhil brought this one - thanks!) at the RB table at Zythos Bier Festival 2008 in Sint Niklaas. Dark brown color. Aroma of malt, caramel, a bit of toast and coffee notes. Malty sweet flavor with caramel and notes of coffee. A slightly watery finish. Medium body. Nice and enjoyable. bierkoning (13352) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - NOV 12, 2007
Bottle from Tbone_. Almost black color. Slightly smoked, roasted aroma with pear. Malty sweet smoked flavor, like beechwood. The smokiness is soft but pleasant, as is the beer.

330ml bottle from an Alko store in Finland, courtesy of Finn Hansen. Described as an unfiltered, hand made slow beer. Bubbly and dense, fawn coloured head. Nice deep, deep, rosewood body. Smell of cocoa and chocolate malts. Sweet dark malts in flavour complemented by herbal dryness and noticeable, balancing bitterness to the finish. A bit foamy in the mouth. Highly drinkable (at home, Tromsø 22.09.2009). Bov (12636) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - MAY 29, 2007
courtesy of oh6gdx - very dark brown colour under a firm and creamy beige head; nice lace; toasted, almost smokey maltiness, notes of cookies and butter; soft and creamy mouthfeel, low carbonation, sweet and medium-bodied at best, a late but fair bitterness; finishes moderately dry, long, toasted and malty - a nice one madsberg (11770) - Søborg, DENMARK - MAY 4, 2009
Bottled (Thx. to jutuahol for bringing it to B’lore). Dark reddish brown coloured. Huge dense light brown head. Lasting. Aroma is light roasted with a touch of liqourice, chocolate and a grassy herbalness. Flavour again is light roasted. Has some coffee and cocoa notes. Is medium bodied. Dry. Ends on a light roasty bitterness with a touch of chocolate. Quite nice. rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 20, 2011
