Bottle 0.33 l. Deep brown, almost opaque. Very very brief head when puoring. Nose is fresh, hoppy, candy sweetness. Flavor is sllightly roasted malty, candy sweetness here too, cofffee, caramel. Very flavorful. Ultra low stallhagen style carb, which makes it feel a bit stale. Easy to drink. A bit porterish. mirjukka (752) - LOHJA, FINLAND - DEC 22, 2008

hotel in MAriehamn, Åland. They call it ’Granit’ (=eng. ’Granite)’ at this place if you ever get to visit. It’s almost opaque red/brown in colour. It has a rich brown head as well. Thearoma is malty and hoppy, with a sweetness to it. It tastes of burnt malt and it has a sweet and dry aftertaste. Compelling.
Very dark brown with a small disappearing offwhite head. Aroma: Dark chocolate, coffee, caramel. Taste: a little to sweet, dark chocolate, roasted. Good mouthfeel. Pretty good.

Apperance: Verk dark brown/black with a light, huge, head that vanishes a bit too quickly for my liking.
Aroma: Roasted malt, Chocolate, Caramel.
Flavor: Chocolate, Smoke, Roasted Malts, Bitter Coffee.
Palate: Very balanced and mild with plenty of carbonation. Liquid feels a bit thin.
A very genuine and drinkable Dunkles from Ålands Bryggeri. Could use a bit more body but all in all a nice beer. rmasa (324) - Vantaa, FINLAND - JAN 5, 2010
UPDATED: APR 25, 2010 Somehow unnatural, cola-like black beer with a small, beige head; mild aroma of roasted malt, liquorice and hints of coffee; thin to medium body, a little watery mouthfeel; flavor is a little sweet, but mostly of dry, roasted malt, coffee and mild bitterness in the aftertaste. spporras (259) - FINLAND - JUN 13, 2007
(Bottle BB 19/11/07) Roasted malty, coffee and licorice aroma. Black colour, sedimentation in the bottle and average size, light brownish head with fair lacing. Roasted malty, coffee and licorice flavour with a hint of smoke. Slightly sticky, medium-bodied and softly carbonated palate with a hint of alcohol. ’Stallhagen Dunkles’ is definitely the best Stallhagen brew I’ve tasted so far! 13/06/07
