mice (1131) - FINLAND - AUG 10, 2016
Sameankeltainen olut, joka ei maistu juuri miltään, ei myöskään siltä hunajalta. Vähän mitäänsanomaton ja pliisu.

Bottle shared by Benzai. The beer has a light golden colour. And a sweet smell.

Inoven (1068) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - AUG 2, 2016
Flesje gedronken bij Tom. Bleek gelig bier met aroma van honing en perzik. Smaak is licht hoppig. Nasmaak is iets bitter.

Bottle shared by TomHendriksen @ random tasting. Clear golden color, small white head. Aroma is lightly malts, sweetish, honey indeed. Taste lightly malts, honey, a bit sweetish. Average body and carbonation. Ok beer.

adamnase (1038) - Kronoby, FINLAND - JUL 4, 2016
Bottled,As Stallhagen Honungsöl. Lacing, snow white, stable head over a yellow blonde, clear, fizzy beer. Aroma yields a volatile whiff of honey upon opening the bottle, but this fades away as quickly as it came, making room for less enchanting impressions of skunked ’lightstruck’ effect, breakfast cereals, soggy chicken corn, grass, some vague flowers and minerals. Clean, pretty much neutral onset, some minerals merging but no esters, prompting me to conclude that this is in fact a honey lager; some malt fruitiness shows up after that, grainy, vaguely sweet and a bit metallic, with thin mouthfeel. I get near to no honey in the flavor. Finish adds some grassy, lightly bittering hops. bit watery!

As Stallhagen Honungsöl, with different label than shown here. The overall effect is closer to a bland pale lager than to a true honey beer, and that is probably what this is - if you insist on ’pimping’ a pale lager with honey, then do make sure the honey is at least noticeable (see some of the Dutch examples)... Quite a surprise, but not in the positive sense.

SvanteL (651) - SWEDEN - JUN 1, 2016
Ljusgul med vitt skum som lägger sig snabbt. Doftar honung och bröd. Smaken är söt, maltig med honung, nästan ingen beska, mjödaktig. En söt och god öl när man är på det humöret.

Nurmis (906) - Oulu, FINLAND - MAY 13, 2016
Bottle at home. Clear golden liquid, medium white head. Aroma of bready malts, notes of floral hoppiness and honey. Light sweetness, light to medium bitterness. Pretty good lager.
