(Bottled, thanks Markku K.!) Clear, dark copper with a smallish, beige head. Toffee-malty aroma with some sweet roastiness and hints of chocolate. Sweetish-malty, lightly roasty and chocolatey flavor with low bitterness and hints of metal. Light to medium-bodied, a bit thin, quite low-carbonated palate. Not the strongest or most interesting effort from Stallhagen. Reminds me of the memory trace I have from Hartwall’s Chocolate Porter a few years back. ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 20, 2008
Bottle, shared by omhper. Pours out in a clear reddish brown colour with a small white foam. Malty sweet aroma of caramel, fudge and almond-paste, hints of cherries in the background. Medium-bodied with a malty sweet flavour of fudge, nuts and cardboard. Malty finish of nuts and toffee. chriso (7533) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 23, 2010
Bottle, tasted in December 2009. Pleasant reddish amber colour. Quite bready in the aroma and flavour. Some caramel as well on the palate. Slightly metallic mouthfeel. As usual with Stallhagen beers, this was a step up from Finnish macro brews but not up to the standard of the good micros. Palatable but a little dull.

Pours very dark brown with a light head. Aroma is very light, some roasted malts. Flavor is mostly roasted malts. A bit too sweet for my taste. Not really bad and definitely better than your average lager, but nothing special either. adamnase (632) - Kronoby, FINLAND - DEC 30, 2011

Flaske 0,33l fra Kilpishalli. Delt med Rune under seanse i H9 17 Jan 13. Brunrød. Middels høyt skum som daler raskt. Grei maltaroma. Smaken litt metallisk. Antydning til frukt - men er og blir litt kjedelig. laiti (8374) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAR 29, 2013

Aroma is malty with bread, some syrupy notes and hints of hay. Flavour is also rather malty with nuts, syrupy notes, some bread, caramel and hints of chocolate. Slightly dry and nutty finish. Decent.
