At Oregon Brewers Festival 2008 Pours out a brown topped with a san head. Aroma of nuts and malt. Tast more of the nuts (almonds) and a nice malt. beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - AUG 8, 2008
OBF 2008. I just didn’t pick up much almond flavor from this, it had a soft nuttiness, but the almond character just didn’t seem to come forward. I once had a DeKonink beer that was brewed with almond extract, and immediately upon trying it almond cookie came to mind. This I was searching but didn’t find much. Sort of woody earthy flavors and soft caramel notes, but nothing unique, just a brown ale. Angeloregon (2055) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 28, 2008
On tap at the Oregon Brewers Festival 2008--Brown body with a thin whine-tan head. Creamy, nutty, off nose. Chewy almond notes linger. There is something off in this beer. Creamy, vanilla. Ok.
