Solid stout to begin with, with a good mocha/coffee nose and aftertaste, with enough bitter roast to still proclaim it’s a stout. Hanuta06 (486) - Washington, USA - DEC 13, 2015
Serving: from tap at Standing Stone Brewing Company.
Aroma: light coffee.
Appearance: medium-sized, light-brown, initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, cola-brown body.
Taste: lightly bitter, coffee initial flavor and lightly sweet finish with average duration.
Palate: full bodied with syrupy texture and lively carbonation.

Draught at the Standing Stone Brewing Co, Ashland, OR.
Dark reddish brown colour with a small light tan head.
Coffee, roasted malt and mild bitterness in the aroma.
The flavour is coffee, roasted malt, cookies, bitterness and some dryness. Tasty.

UPDATED: AUG 31, 2014 On tap at Standing Stone in Ashland, OR. Looked a bit thin for my preference in stouts. Aroma was pleasant, but could have been more coffee-like. Taste is not as sweet and malty as I was hoping for, and the coffee was not as forward as I would have liked, but I did enjoy the roastiness and subtle caramel flavor. julesjis (256) - Oregon, USA - AUG 24, 2014
I really like coffee stouts. With that being said...the aroma was great, but the beer had no head and was not creamy at all. That would have made the beer perfect. Since I was looking for perfection I really analyzed this beer and felt there was a bit of over carbonation on the tip of my tongue. Overall the coffee flavor was great but this beer could have been a bit hardier to achieve perfection (in my book).

This was a draft pour at the brewpub. Came in the glass very black with a beige head and medium lacing. Nose of chocolate, coffee, and ripe fruit. Medium body. Flavor is as the aroma with the chocolate and coffee equally present. Dry bitter finish. Very nice. mcberko (18949) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 27, 2013
On tap at Standing Stone, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out notes of coffee, followed by oats and a touch of chocolate. Flavour brings out dry coffee upfront, immediately followed by oats and dry unsweetened chocolate. Quite robust and coffee-centric, while still being light-bodied. Good one. This rich black stout has a strong flavor of coffee. Rich and bold flavor makes this beer very flavorful. Not too heavy and very drinkable it makes a great beer to pair with desert.

Pitch black - tan head. Lots of fresh cold-pressed coffee flavour. The coffee adds lots of chocolate and vanilla notes and really smooths out the roasty edges found in the base beer. Not vegetal at all and really lovely and earthy. Great coffee stout. Could be fuller bodied, but it’s nice nonetheless.

Really enjoyed this one at SAVOR - draft pour. Visually, it is a dark brown, almost black color with a tan head. Aroma is straight up Java coffee. Nice dark chocolate, espresso notes. This was pleasing on the nose and mouth.
