Pours a pretty, rose-tinged amber with small, chunky off-white head.
Nose offers mild floral and cherry notes to complement yeast. Palate adds caramel, biscuit and a hint of spice.
The body is light and thin, but still manages to be buttery. The bitterness is well controlled, adding a slight edge to the mellow malt in a Belge Speciale style.
It comes bit short of its Belgian counterparts, and Americans looking for "big" beer should look elsewhere. But as a gentle, balanced brew, it’s woth considering.

On tap, but have purchased in the bottle as well. Nice liquid - some micro qualities with macro consistency. Strangebrewer (1297) - Chatham, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 21, 2011
bottle. Poured clear orange-amber with a small off-white head. Sweet, bready-wheat aroma, really appetizing. Medium bodied, smooth creamy mouthfeel. Bready malt flavour with caramel and mildly bitter. A nice clean finish. isojim2 (1) - Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, CANADA - AUG 26, 2014 does not count
The aroma was mild and the head was short lived for a "Belgian". However the taste and palate (other then the lack of significant carbonation) was very pleasant, what one might expect from a Belgian single. I bought two 6 packs last year and then it disappeared here in Saskatchewan. When I came across it on a recent trip to Edmonton I bought some more because it is a little different from other beers. steve123419 (3) - surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 16, 2011 does not count

En fût au Bay Side Lounge Vancouver. Couleur ambrée, peu de mousse. Arôme de céréale. En bouche, un peu de caramel, malt. Finale sans histoire. Fait la job. pintbypint (3584) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 13, 2012
On tap, Joey’s in Sherwood Park. Amber cour, small cap, tight creamy layer left after everything settles. Looks hazy but it might be the light in here. Grains in the nose, slight sweetness. Taste is grainy, a bit tangy, light level of caramel. Dry finish, grainy, hint of grass and citrus. Ok. RichardW (1813) - Carlisle, Cumbria, ENGLAND - AUG 8, 2014
Bottled. Sweet malt nose and taste; light sweet cherry and caramel notes and faint Belgian yeast in the finish. AgentAle (1726) - Alberta, CANADA - JUL 6, 2015
Aroma is roasted fairly rich caramel malts, honey and straw. Taste is sweet malts and honey. Very pale bitterness. Appearance is a clear gold with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well. BillKismet (4041) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 28, 2016
Bronzed-gold appearance, topped by an airy froth head. Light grain in the aroma and very crisp. Watery body, though flavored by a pleasantly sweet graininess. Despite the name, this seems like more of a blonde ale.
