2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Golden colored brew with an odd spicy aroma. Spicy and sweet malty flavor. Not that good.
Great beer just where you don’t expect it.
Could it be that the brewer is Belgian?

Bottle. Nice, stable, white head. The aroma is sweet, malty with some alcohol notes. The taste is also sweet, a little bit fruity. The beer has alcoholic aftertaste. Low bitterness. Grumbo (3981) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - AUG 17, 2013
Bottle brought back from Madagascar by Ryan. Clear, golden amber colour. Off-white head. Aroma of malt, fruit and caramel. Sweet spiced finish. Somewhat more interesting than other African beers tried to date. meerbier (1474) - Pijnacker, NETHERLANDS - AUG 8, 2012

Light malty/grainy, light herbal aroma. Golden, white head, good lace. Light malty, light grainy, sweet, light bitter, light herbal. Medium body, boring.
Bottled. Thanks to my sister for importing this one from Madagascar. The aroma is a bit fruity and has some maltiness. Clear, golden-copper coloured beer with a slightly off-white head. The taste is a bit sweet malty, has some caramel, probably some spice. Quite okay for an African beer.

Sampled while in Switzerland. A very interesting beer with the use of lots of native spices that you dont find in European or American beers. Definitely unique and has a nice feel as it goes down. lgklotet (437) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 28, 2006
Rating from memory. Very average pale lager. Remember that it tasted damn fine after a long trek in the rainforest at Andasibe-Perinet :-)
