1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
A yellow beer with a small and fast disappearing head. It has next to no aroma - hints of malt. The flavor is a little thin to star out with, then an OK sweetness ending on an OK bitterness. For a discount beer this is good - especially because it doesn't contain brewing cereal.
330 ml bottle, rated from backlog. Both aroma and taste is pretty standard for danish pilsner, nothing special. chrisv10 (18504) - DENMARK - JUL 15, 2010

Bottle. Thin yellow colour, no head. Grainy sweet aroma. Flavour is waterish, grainy, some bitterness. Nasty aftertaste. Terrible brew! stouby (4781) - Holbæk, DENMARK - JAN 9, 2006
Bottle, at No. 5 (040301).
Looking typical for a pilsener. Aroma moderate malty (fruit) and hoppy. Flavor moderate sweet and bitter. Light body. Blindtasted.

(Bottle 33 cl) Golden beer with a thin head. Surprisingly hoppy and flowery nose - with the hops even spilling into the flavour adding more aroma than bitterness. Not bad for a discount beer. "Star" was a legendary working class brand back in the 50’s. Now owned and brewed by Carlsberg. 070700 macdeffe (52) - Århus, DENMARK - SEP 8, 2004
SIL (Standard International Lager). Lacks bitterness. Cheaper than most in Denmark so good value for money !! madsberg (11776) - Søborg, DENMARK - FEB 15, 2004
Bottled: Light yellow. Small white head. Quickly diminishing. Malty and ligth sweet aroma. Malt and sweetness with a note of hops in the flavour. Very light bitterness in the end. andershn (90) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 19, 2003
Very average Danish pilsener: No head, too much carbon dioxide, but ok malty flavour
