Bottled. Very dark ruby red colour, mediumsized beige head. Roasted malts in aroma along with caramellish hints. Caramellish malty flavour with roasted hints. Caramellish, sweet sugary, aftertaste. Quite standard good dunkel from Czechia. omhper (25167) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - APR 22, 2005

Bottle at Luna Hotel in Prague. Nice amber color, quite fluffy offwhite head. Malty aroma with figs, cocoa, notes of ash and some apples. Malty flavor with toffee notes, some hops that grow stronger in the finish. harrisoni (18584) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - APR 20, 2006
Bottle. Black beer with ruby edges and dark beige head. Some very nice velvety molasses, coffee and charcoal on aroma with some dark toffee too. Fullish in mouth, with more coffee/toffee. Finish is dryish. Not too sweet and just a feeling of juicy velvet. Nice beer. Oakes (17700) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 24, 2003
Dark brown; Aroma: nutty, toasty, even a little roasty. Palate: toffee, chewy malts, earth, brown sugar. Finish: long, sweet, toasty malt. Starobrno is emerging as my favourite Czech brewery.

Almost opaque ruby color, good tan head. Crisp lemony malty aroma.Roasted, ryeish, medium-bodied, a bit herbal flavor. A spicey too.
Bottle. OK head. Sweet, but well-balanced. Hint of liquorice. imdownthepub (14557) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 23, 2008
Bottled, 330ml with pull ring cap. From Pivovarsky Klub, Prague. Black, red hue, explosive brown head. Sweet and fruity dunkel, a little powdery in texture, but nicely set up with a blackcurrant, loganberry type flavour and a slightly cloying sweetness. Some carbonation, but not intrusive, a little chocolate, dark malt. Reasonably straight forward, uncomplicated beer. Lubiere (13916) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 30, 2008
A beautiful dark clear brown beer with reddish hues, and a thick moka head. A pleasant sweet chocolate malt aroma. In mouth, sweet chocolate malt balls, cold coffee, very smooth. A nice schwarzbier. Oktoberfest evening at Marc Gratton’s, taste on April 20 2007 bierkoning (13364) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - SEP 8, 2003
Deep dark ruby brown color. Malty peacharoam and flavor. A slight toasted flavor is overpowered by the fruity sweetness. Onlt medium bodied, I expected more. Still a lovely, tasty beer.
