Pours golden with a decent size, but rapidly disappering, white head. Aroma is slighlty grainy with little note of hops. Flavor is crisp and has a fair hop flavor. downender (8658) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 7, 2008
330ml bottle. Pale gold colour with a decent white head and plenty of carbonation. Aroma of sweet malt and some grassy hops. Flavour was also sweet with some bitterness in the finish. An ok pilsener. Bullit (4637) - Burgos, SPAIN - JAN 4, 2008
Yellow colour, white head. Aroma is a bit skunky. Has bread and some fruity aromas. Flavour is malty and bready. Initially dry and bitter, but gets better along the way. islay (2734) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 30, 2007
11.2 oz. bottle labeled “Staropramen Premium Beer.” Nice, floral, dry aroma of Czech hops. Apple juice, cumin, vanilla, salt, and pickle brine scents. Pours an effervescent, sparkling, pale gold. Small amount of short-lasting, nearly white head. Produces some lacing. The flavor is remarkably sweet, much more so than I expected. Sugar, pear, condensed milk, red apple, watermelon, and bubble gum elements present in the taste. Light hops dryness in the finish. It is much too sweet for my tastes. I like my Bohemian pilsners puckeringly dry. There is a dry aftertaste, as one would expect from the style but perhaps not from the primary taste. Medium body (heavier than I expected). Smooth and frothy in the palate. Not as crisp or lively as I would like, and it produces some unpleasant fizziness in the mouth. Staropramen Premium Beer started out promising in the appearance and in the nose, but, in the end, I can’t recommend it. It’s not much better than a typical American macro pale lager. davidpl (435) - Santiago, CHILE - DEC 29, 2007
Appearance: pale blond color. Little head, white color and not lasting.
Aroma: light floral-hoppy smells, some fruitiness like papayas and sugar’s aromas.
Flavor: pale malts start but ephemeral, rapid progress of a light dry-hoppy with persistency.
Palate: light body and some silky texture.
Mediocre and disappointment Czech Pils.

Bottle - Pours a golden color with a white head. As is the case with most Czech Pils, I suspect this beer has a more pronounced malt character, aroma and bitterness than it’s imported cousin. That being said, this is an enjoyable beer without any skunkiness. Crisp finish. shp555 (2024) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - DEC 11, 2007
Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma is light malt and lots of peppery hops. Flavor is light malts with a bitter peppery finish. armando629 (2456) - Budapest, HUNGARY - DEC 11, 2007
amber-gold color under a nice head. The nose and the flavour are malty and hoppy with a medium body.Light hop and sweetness in the aftertaste. Fine beer LinusStick (3458) - Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 9, 2007
Typical Bohemian Pilsener. Skunk aroma. Pour was a light gold, almost white with no head. Taste was nicely carbonated and not too strong. Could pick up some hoppiness in the bitter aftertaste. Not enough to be a bite, but enough to distinguish it from a pale lager. cheap (5856) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 4, 2007
UPDATED: DEC 8, 2007 Typical aroma of eastern euro green bottle; clean veggie cabbage. Very decent sweet initial taste that morphs in a nano-secend to a bitter pilsner bite. More bitter personality than I care for in a pale lager. Has as much bite as many premium lagers. Good slightly above average carbonation that dissipates fast. Not too much of a gentleman.
