Tasted 11/14/07. 12oz bottle. Filtered with a golden hue. White head. Cereal bready aromas. Soggy malty nose. Light to medium bodied with a sweet honey bready flavor. Light malts with a smooth palate and a dry bitter hop finish. Slightly apple undertone. Honeyish. Well done. gam (3924) - brisbane, AUSTRALIA - NOV 27, 2007
Great bitter and barley taste, saarz hops make it tangy on the mouth and stomach .A lovely beer.Graeme. Bontus (800) - Flanders, BELGIUM - NOV 25, 2007
On tap in Prague.
Took a while for the bartender to get a head on it but finally it was ready for consumption.
A true bitter pilsner, herby notes, dry aftertaste. Very refreshing so drink it cold.
It is so cheap, I love Czech Republic. presidentchaos (21) - Worthing, ENGLAND - NOV 25, 2007
I agree with Downsouthgav, this beer is over rated in UK. I tried it in Chech Republic and it was much better. The colour is dark yellow, and yes it has a grassy taste. estpiwo (1319) - ESTONIA - NOV 18, 2007
Can 0,5L. Fruity aroma without hoppy tones. Flavor is little bit malty sweet and chemical. Beer without long and good aftertaste. Typical eurobeer.

Draught at the Park, West Norwood. Pours a clear straw coloured beer. Some carbonation. Taste is dry and grassy. Flat in the finish. Not sure why this beer is so well regarded. SamGamgee (2452) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - NOV 1, 2007
UPDATED: NOV 10, 2007 33cl bottle at Wermlands. Clear gold. small head. very saazy aroma, a little skunky. flavor is hoppy, but not very bitter, malts arent gelling too well, dry finish. I was a little disappointed with this one. Rerate (11-9-07): Lucked out and got a skunk free bottle this time. Better hop aroma and flavor. Crisp and refreshing. Very drinkable; up to 2.9 from 2.6. Nice aroma and good head with lacing. This is a little sweet for a pilsener, and watery too. But it is pleasantly fizzy, and the Saaz hops in the finish spark things up. My guess is that this is an everyday brew in Czecha. rwgould (331) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 25, 2007
0.5l can. Pours a clear golden brown with lots of carbonation and a small head. Smells like quite rich but also very bitter. And indeed, the first taste is incredibly bitter. Feels like a standard pilsener, but maybe a bit more sweet. Palate is a little oily. Gpnterojd (179) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 18, 2007
Pours like carbonated apple juice. Small, decent looking head. Hoppy aroma with alcohol and faint malt. Taste is not unlike that of a toned down bitter. Caramel malts rolling over a bed of hops. Finishes long and dry.
