Stinky extracty hop acridness i aroma, some sweet hops. Pale, no idea about the head as I drank it from the can. Slightly sweet malts, starchy, and then a monstrous, and I mean horrific, acrid metal bite. Poisonous plants taste of this as a warning not to eat them. Worls class horror. Took 2 cans of Saku Rock to purge this disaster from my mouth. Utterly wful.
Bottle. It pours a clear, golden body, topped by a finger-thick, diminishing, white head leaving lacings. Grassy hops with some citrus dominates the aroma, where also some hay, flowers and pale malt shows up. It’s more or less going the same path regarding flavor, with the added joy of hoppy bitterness. Pleasant sweetness too. Fruity and bitter finish with a sweet touch. Full body. A really pleasant pilsner, especially considering this being a beer brewed also with malt extract and hop extract. That’s usually not a proof of quality. Quenching and more-ish. (080826) Benzai (16918) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - AUG 1, 2011
Standard clear golden color, thick vast white head. Closest to original pilsener I think. Nice bitter taste and smell. Good for a pilsener. Carbo and body ok. brokensail (16689) - Dublin, California, USA - SEP 21, 2012
Pours a clear golden/yellow color with minimal white head. A very light aroma. Just a bit of grain and malt sweetness with a light hop and yeast ester quality. Maybe a hint of metal in the background. Grain and bread malt sweetness on the palate, a little bit of corn sugar, and mild metallic tones. A bit of apple juice sweetness on the finish. 50cl bottle @ Billa. Pours clear golden with a creamy white foam and lacings. Sweet malty and grassy nose. Taste is a bit dusty with buiscuit and grassy notes. Medium bodied. Ok

Clear see through blonde with white head. Easy malty and moderate hoppy flavour. Very pleasant. Lively carbonation. Taste of the regular Czeck hops. Easy drinkable and OK lager!
Bottle as shown. Pours a clear orange golden with a small white head that diminiishes quickly to nothing. The aroma is sour malt and floral. Decent spotty lacing along the glass. Thin mouthfeel and a bit watery on the palate. Sweet corn malt taste with a bitter finish. A decent pilsener from Staropramen. MiP (16054) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - OCT 31, 2004
Bottle. Creamy white head. Creamy mouthfeel. Nice enough lager, but a bit boring. bhensonb (15963) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 13, 2006
Aroma of cooked malt. Gold with a hint of caramel for color. The hops are not overpowering, but the effect is astringent. I drink ales. Lagers are low on my priorities. This one could be alternated with something like Smithwick’s ale, and it would work. One of the few lagers that drinks well at ale temperatures. It is what it is. I’d drink it, if a decent ale weren’t available. Borup (15940) - Albertslund, DENMARK - NOV 23, 2006
Bottle. Golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, fruit and hops. Ratman197 (15612) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - DEC 27, 2005
Bottle poured a clear golden yellow with a lasting white head. Aromas of grain, a bit floral and a hint of the skunk. Palate was light and crisp. Flavors of sweet grain, and a bit of citrus with a crisp, slightly sweet finish.
