Clear golden orange with few bubbles but a decent head that laced quite a lot. Floral hop aroma, with a bit of buttery diacetyl. Some bitterness, but not as much as you’d expect from a bohemian. It is smoothed out by some sweet malt but it would serve the beer better if it was a touch drier. Thankfully there are many better examples of the style out there. Herrlich hopfig, malzig, süffig süß. Nix Besonderes aber defenitiv ein Kastenbier zum Grillen. Besser als das durchschnittliche Fernsehbier. Garlic_of_Doom (653) - SWEDEN - JAN 15, 2014
Can at Markku, thanks pal!
Golden yellow, head rests down but clings to the edge of the glass.
Faint hop and malt aroma.
Taste is sweet malty with slight bitterness.
Light body, medium carbonation. Crisp.
Short bitter after taste. Nonshaugen (652) - Fetsund, NORWAY - JUL 22, 2015
Crystal clear, golden, not much head. Looks like an average dark-ish lager in the glass. Pleasant malt notes in the aroma, vague hints of flowers and hops. Nice flavour, slightly bitter and dry in the aftertaste. Medium body, average carbonation. Enjoyed this, it definitely stand out from the pilsner crowd. In a warm summer night in Prague, at an outdoor restaurant, this would be a very good choice. JB84 (649) - Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA - APR 19, 2011
Pour golden yellow white thin head. Aroma skunk, grass, malt, floral. Taste malt sweetness, grassy bitterness, floral. MF medium crisp. Meh nothing special.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white foamy head. Malty sweet breadish flavour with hoppy hints. Sweetishbitter flavour, mainly breadish. Sweet malty aftertaste, but also hints of bitterness. Sticky mouthfeel. MrRoss (646) - Delta, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 15, 2009
From the instant I popped the cap off this one, I could smell the hops - in a nice way. Pouring a just-right, rich gold colour, this was paired with an attractive white head which did leav a bit o’lace on departure. Aroma was again, hoppish, but not offensively so. Taste was a wee bit sharp, and enjoyable. Mouthfeel and aftertaste were also highly acceptable. Hippoman (646) - Durham, ENGLAND - DEC 8, 2015
Keg at Van Mildert College Bar, Durham, £2/pint.
Honey colour with a very thin, white head. The nose is sugary sweet. There’s some crisp, noble hop type bitterness to the taste but it’s largely dominated by sickly, buttery character. Not enjoyed.

Tap. Malty aroma. Clear golden color, medium white head. Taste is malty with sour notes. Medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation, bitter/sour finish. Bierdimpfe (640) - Quebec, CANADA - JAN 24, 2017
Bright dark straw color with dense pearly activity. Slightly frothy and foamy white 3 finger head, lasting around 10 minutes, with goods amount of lacing. Light buttery smell. Flavors of sweet grains, honey, caramel, lemon, slight metal, flowers and herbal spices. A little sugary, with a sharp lemony feel. Slick full body with smooth crispy carbonation. Light finish of lingering soft leafy noble spices, pleasant grass, and faint skunk. Good freshness. Very easy and accessible, but no adjunct feel and well developed. The soft syrup feel is very nice as is the flowery feel. This is a very good quality pilsener, superbly well balanced, almost feels like a pale ale.
