COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale gold in colour with delicately flowery aromas and a taste in which hop crispness and malty softness combines to highly drinkable effect.

Barva, pěna, vůně a chuť vytváří unikátní senzorický profil tohoto spodně kvašeného ležáku uvařeného z 2 druhů sladů a 5 druhů chmele, včetně žateckého, který je srdcem tohoto piva. Znalec ocení typickou pivní vůni a chuť, které ve vzájemné harmonii dávají tomuto středně až silně prokvašenému ležáku příjemnou pitelnost, ležákovou plnost s osvěžujícím řízem a obsahem alkoholu 5%. 12 EBC.

Golden translucent, little head. Aroma is yeasty. Taste is a bit musty, bitter finish without the fresh crisp hoppiness I was expecting

11.2oz bottle, appearance is golden brown with minimal white head, aroma is just skunky but not awful, flavor is very smooth very malty with a hint of hops. good pils could skip the skunky aroma though.

rather big white head diminushed rather quickly, but lets a white film on the beer middle yellow-golden smells malty-sweetish, hoppy, some citrus tasts bitter-sweetish,malty, hoppy, some hidden citrus aftertaste bitter-malty,some bread, some alcohol,at the end the bitterness lasts better than other lagers, but lacks a bit of interesting smells and tasts

330ml bottle. Shaker glass. Golden with a medium head. Aroma -- malt, grain and some floral hops. It started out crisp with some light malt and a touch of bitterness. I thought it was comparable to Pilsner Urquell, but about mid-bottle a very floral and perfumed taste becamse apparent and I found this a little off-putting.

Half litre bottle, small head. Very nice colour, looks like a belgian pale ale. Saaz aroma, also picked up hints of red cabbage. Sweeter than other czech beers, tasted of flowers. Nice mouthfull. Decent go to beer, nice on a hot day.

Herrlich hopfig, malzig, süffig süß. Nix Besonderes aber defenitiv ein Kastenbier zum Grillen. Besser als das durchschnittliche Fernsehbier.

This is a nice beer with a little hoppy kick. I believe this is my first of this kind and its nicely done. A little watery but other than that another solid beer. This one comes under the recommendation of the HyVee Manager of the adult beverage department. He always finds something interesting to try. Not bad for a grocery store.

Zarkam (539) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 8, 2013
500ml bottle from Tallinn. Clear gold colour, medium white head, somewhat spicy aroma of grains and some grass, medium body, lively carbonation, somewhat bitter finish. Quite balanced and rather generic, a fair bit more hops than bulk lagers usually though so it’s quite refreshing.

Looks like straw and tastes like grass, Staropramen is almost everything you’d expect from a Czech lager. A pleasant skunkiness ostentatiously wafts out of the glass, with complimentary scents of vinyl and autumn leaves. On the palate there is surprising sweetness, which upsets the hop balance one looks for in a world-class lager. There’s a nice, bitter middle, but almost nothing at the beginning and end. A pleasant summer sipper, nothing special.

Pretty decent for the style. Not sure if I was just in the right mood for it, but I enjoyed this one. Light malt, not a lot of hops, but enough to give a light bitterness.
