Wonderful Pilsner with excellent hop character. Very crisp and refreshing. Awesome beer!! Wulfstan (509) - California, USA - FEB 29, 2008
UPDATED: APR 14, 2008 This is a nice Czech lager that is notable for having primarily a stronger, more darkly toasted malt-grain quality than usual. It is dark gold with a smallish, but lasting off-wite head that leaves almost no lace. The aroma is a full-bodied lager smell definitely dominated by very toasty grain, along with grass & herbs with hitns of earth, flowers, and sulphur. The taste is similar, being predominantly a malty, more darkly toasted grain quality along with a tart, dry bitterness that really predominates after the start. There are elements of honey and grass, although the herbal-piney hop flavours are not as strong as I would have expected and it really is dominated by the toasty grain. Even the bitterness, while on the strong side, is more of a dry, toasty bitterness without the usual flavours that I’d expect. In the end, it is full-bodied, tasty, very crisp, and and gets points also for being a bit different.

Appearance: pours a frothy eggshell head which recedes slowly with significant lacing. Color is a clear deep gold with moderate streaming carbonation.
Aroma: pleasant aroma of floral hops, yeasty bread, and some lightly roasted malt sweetness
Mouthfeel: fairly light and crisp with a pleasingly dry finish.
Flavor: near perfect combination of bready malt, some nice sweetness to balance the floral and bittering hops.
Overall: an absolutely delicious beer. Smells and taste great. A pleasure to drink. Will definitely be trying this one again. Hoss (607) - Florida, USA - NOV 14, 2001
A VERY good example of the brewers skill. A good beer to begin to introduce friends to something besides Bud and Coors carnival (20) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 22, 2004
I love this beer! I found it at the LCBO in Toronto, Canada. It has a great flavour, aroma and is very satisfying. Definitely in my top ten that I drink on a regular basis. Very nice after-taste. I put it along side beer such as Czechvar, Lowenbrau, EB, and Baltika. Hoppenheimer (5) - Schaumburg, USA - AUG 19, 2004 does not count
Pale gold crystal clear eensy weensy bubbles, decent head. Hops and malt balance nicely with a slightly hoppy aftertaste. Almost perfect for a Helles Boehmishes Bier holdleder (371) - Kongerslev, DENMARK - MAY 29, 2014
50 cl. dåse. 5,0 %. Købt i Bilka. Som stor fan af den tjekkiske hovedstad Prag er jeg selvfølgelig helt vild med denne lokale øl. Vækker minder. Tjek.
