Bottle from Whole Food in Sarosota, FL. Clear amber with an average frothy white headthat diminished quickly. Average grassy hop aroma. Light to medium body with a thin texture. Light dry bitter flavor with a short finish. Marko (6290) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - DEC 21, 2005
Beer no.24 of my Slovenian beerhunt. jpm30 (1587) - East Central, Georgia, USA - JAN 29, 2006
Poured a beautiful golden/orange colour with a smallish white head, lazy carbonation. Odd strong aroma of malt, alcohol, and if my friend was serious, and he persistently claimed he was, pancetta (yeah, right). Malty, bready taste with a light Saazy hopiness, and lemon. Hoppy aftertaste. Maybe a bit watery. Nice enough after all the crap I’ve had to wade through...
From a 12 oz. long neck green bottle with a "Best Before End" date, 31/Aug/2006. Made a decent appearance, poured a clear orange hued golden with a small foamy white head that quickly reduced to a thin sticky lacing. Had a grassy hop aroma with a little funky yeastiness and whiffs of sweet alcohol. Good carbonation and a slick, crisp light medium bodied mouth feel, average drinkability. Taste at first had a mild gorse hoppy bitterness to it, followed by a slick sweet pale maltiness.
Not bad, modest drinkability, could be quite quaffable if on sale at a bar, lends itself to mass consumption.

Clear dark golden body with a fluffy white head. Aroma was of light sweet cookie malts with resiny hops in the background. Taste was better than I expected because Bohemian Pils seem to me not sharp enough in there bite for my liking and too fat in there malt. This one hasn’t got the bite and has the malt but it is still balanced well, grassy hops, watery sweet malts and a medium body. morrdt (715) - Jacksonville, Florida, USA - MAR 20, 2006
Bottle. Pours a gold color with minimal head. When I drink this, I think of all of the hot Czech chicks who never get to know the true me.
Not really. But it’s nice to think that way.
Think Beck’s beer, but without the suck that goes with it.

Pint, off tap. A golden pilsener, with a lasting rich white head. Hoppy aroma. Similar to other czech pilseners to taste, crisp, with a pleasant refreshing hoppy and almost metallic bite. The finish is similar, and lasting. One of my preferred lagers to drink, though seems slightly wanting in flavour. beergut111 (210) - Berlin, GERMANY - MAY 27, 2006
A decent pilsner. Ive had better and Ive had worse. Nothing memorable. ps71 (19) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 8, 2006
UPDATED: JUN 11, 2006 Staropramen Premium Beer. 330 ml green long-neck bottle. Deep amber colour. Clear. Medium-sized white head that fades away quickly, but leaves »laces«. Aroma of white bread and alcolhols, with some citrus. Watery mouthfeel. Taste of citrus and white bread. A nice balance between sweetness and the hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. A little dissapointing, however - I find that it lacks comlexity and character. slcbrewer (44) - USA - JUN 9, 2006
A moderately pleasant Czech pilsner. Not as good as Urquell, but drinkable in a pinch.
A hint of Saaz aroma, and a reasonably dry finish. antisnobJP (274) - St. Michael, Minnesota, USA - JUN 29, 2006
Bottle. Bright gold with a coarse, fluffy, nearly white head. Sweet flowery aromas with, of course, skunk. Very light malt flavors with some tasty Czech hop flavors and minimal bitterness. Thin bodied and fairly dry. Kind of a Urquell lite. I’m sure I could drink this easily, but it’s not worth the price when Urquell is better.
