500ml green bottle. Medium golden with a disappointing thin white layer of bubbles covering the surface. Some grass hops in the aroma, funky malt. Malty body, some sweetness. Flowery hops deliver a little flavour and bitterness.

Feb 3, 2007 On tap at Bijou, Dublin. A golden pilsener. Very smooth. Tasty. Quite good actually. Czech beer is very good.

(Draught at Renen, Duved, Sweden, 20 March 2009) Golden yellow colour with foamy, white head. Malty, bready nose with notes of hay, grass and sourish hints of tropical fruit. Malty, bready taste with hay, grass and a moderate grassy bitterness in the finish. Slightly below medium body, balanced sweetness. Sadly, this beer keeps disappointing me. Ten to fifteen years ago it used to be quite a lovely Bohemian style pilsener, but it seems the Evil Empire InBev (as expected) has turned it into yet another middle-of-the-road-euro-lager. Give ’em a couple of years and they might relable it Stellapramen.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys. Starw with a fast fading white head; grassy hop aroma; sweet grainy flavour with lots of leafy hops. Crisp and clean and more satisfying than most InBev offerings.

Has about a THOUSAND of these on Draught at a night club in Prague. Quite a standard sort of Czech lager deal; reasonably clean (not as much as most), hint of floral hop, bitter finish. Ok, bit average really.

Pours clear with a very light golden yellow color. Slight white head. Nose is of dry malt and some old hops. No offensive aromas, but nothing great either. I suspect it would be better if really fresh. Taste is standard pilsner. Bit of a hoppy bitter finish. Too quick and microscopic for me to get too excited. Mediocre to average.

Decent pils, it has a bitter but yet sweet flavour, all the way through. It tastes somewhat of grains and its quite flavourful, good offer, would have again

500 ml can from LCBO. Pours a clear gold with average-sized white head. Grassy aroma with light fruity sweetness. Flavour is grainy with light sweetness and a crisp, somewhat sour grassiness in finish. Reasonably active, fine carbonation. Okay.
