From the December 2014 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a medium sized creamy brown head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was malty and a bit toasts with dark fruits and a vague hoppy presence. The flavor was dryish and a bit roasty with chalk and wood notes. Medium length finish. Medium body Solid. Poured from 750 ml bottle after cellaring for 18 months.
Opaque, black-brown with a 2-finger tan head and very good lacing.
Aroma of chocolate, caramel, roasted malt and roasted coffee.
Taste of rich sweet chocolate, molasses, roasted malt, licorice, nuts and mild dark fruit with a fruity hop finish, without which this would be an unremarkable, average imperial stout. The hop finish ands balance to the big malt flavors and makes this a more interesting brew.
Medium body and medium carbonation.

Average imperial stout. Ok balance, some roast malt and light bitter finish. Some booze. Light on palate. Dark pour with good head and lacing. A dog just puked up some great looking sausage next to me. There are bunch of douchebags around that think they know a lot about craft beer. They say the like Stella. On tap at DC Summerfest. Poured at World of Beer, tulip glass. Nice short tan head, color is black. Bitterness up front, also lingers at the finish. Coffee flavors are strong, nice stout!
