Starr Hill Bourbon Barrel Aged Cryptical on tap at the 2014 Secret Stash Bash (Atlanta).
Pours dark, reddish-brown and sits opaque in the glass. Decent tan head.
Aroma: nice mix of woody bourbon and dark roasted malts.
Flavor: Rich and strong. Dark roasted grains with a complementary bourbon barrel aspect. Lingering aftertaste of toasted dark bread and woody bourbon.
O: Poorly hidden alcohol but otherwise excellent.

Pours an opaque chocolate brown with some tan head - but I got a small pour. Smoky malt aroma has definitely bourbon-soaked wood note plus hints of coffee and chocolate. Texture is quite firm and fairly fizzy. No mystery - this is a great beer! fonefan (52351) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JAN 19, 2014
