Opaque black/brown with a 1/4" beige head with good retention, streaks of lace. Taste is mostly chalky toasted malt with a hint of pumpkin and spice. Hop bitters enter at the finish and linger into more chalkiness. Only average, hardly more than just another beer to rate. sonnycheeba (5988) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 4, 2013
Bottle. Pours deep, dark brown with average, creamy beige; good retention and decent lacing. Aroma is caramel and cookie malt, pumpkin, floral hops, chocolate, and light roast. Flavor pumpkin and dark malts forward with some chocolate and faint hops; dry, semi-bland finish. Medium body and low carbonation. Elwood (3336) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - DEC 1, 2012
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. It pours a dark cola like color with a muddy tan head. The nose has a good bit of cinnamon, nutmeg, and other assorted pumpkin spice with a hint of roast. The flavor has a slight vegetal pumpkin note with a touch of honey, light brown sugar, cinnamon, and light earthy bitterness. Not exactly in harmony. Light to medium body with average carbonation. This brew doesn’t do anything to excite the drinker. bierkitty (167) - Elysburg, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 17, 2012
Dark and clear with ruby highlights and a good tan head. Lots of chocolate and a little pumpkin and spice came through. I liked it. nittanyjim (118) - - NOV 15, 2012
Deep brown with a thin tan head. Very nice pumpkin pie, clove, and cinnamon noise. Smooth and chewy start, quickly fading to over carbonation. Cola sweetness. Starts with so much promise but overall disappointing.

I found this to be a very good porter with more pumpkin than spice to the taste. Beerdedone (3408) - Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 10, 2012
Bottle. Pours dark brown with a nice tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, pumpkin, and nutmeg. Flavor was malty sweet with dark roasted malts, light pumpkin, cloves a touch of chocolate and a hint of cinnamon rodzilla79 (90) - Maryland, USA - NOV 3, 2012
This is not what I typically look for in a pumpkin beer. It had a burnt malty flavor and a slightly bitter aftertaste. It would definitely be a better beer if I was outside by a fire, but it’s not in my top pumpkin beers. BREWMUSKCLES (2686) - New Jersey, USA - OCT 30, 2012
this is a very nice porter infused gently with Pumpkin and Pumpkin spice. There is a charming chocolate mint type component in the finish that is again gentle and totally charming. the brew is dark black and the body is moderate. demonstrative with a light vegetable profile.
