2oz sample at International Great Beer Expo (Meadowlands). Pours an amber color with a small foamy white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, and mild spice. Taste is similar. Old citrus, caramel malt, and faint spice.

Bottle, courtesy of nimbleprop – thanks! Pours a clear, but deep golden color with a finger of creamy sandy head. Fresh aroma reminds me of a wet hop ale; citrus, tropical, and resin. Good, clean tasting DIPA. Citrus, pine resin, and caramel. Soothing malt bill really jives with the Simcoe. Nothing exotic, but solid and well made.

Pours a golden color with white head. Lots of citrus on nose. A bit of sweetness on palate with lots of citrus and some resin.

Poured into pint glass. Nice amber color, white head that was not lasting almost no lace. This beer was old. Shame on me for not seeing in store but shame on Wine Academy Lakewood for selling it. I bought in singles section so only one bad beer. I will re-buy and re-rate. From the skunk I pick up a faint grapefruit smell. Taste of rotting grapefruit. Date on bottle was almost a year ago. I wish they put the date on the label and clearly so it can be seen by all including a guy like me with bad eyes.

Pours clear orange with a large white head. Smells strongly of citrus. Taste is a giant citrus punch. Full-bodied with a slick texture and active mouth-carbonation, Starr Hill Double Platinum finishes with a dry bitterness.

12oz single from Wine Academy. Poured a good looking syrupy deep orange body with a large frothy light white head. Aroma was syrup, hops, citrus, caramel, wort, bitter yellow grapefruit, rotting orange meat. Flavor is bitter bitter yellow grapefruit, ruby red grapefruit sweetness, dry bread crusts, hop cones. Fuller dry body with a creamy finish and softer to average carbonation and a lingering hop bitter bite. Would love a fresher bottle to see how good this might really be.

bottle. very pungent nose. moderate white head. copper color. very firm hop bitterness, but balancing a light malt sweetness. slightly piney and pithy in the very finish. drying finish. good.

Pours orange with a fluffy white head. Smells piney and floral. Love the Simcoe hops. Taste is very balanced with a lingering hop finish. I like this one.

Has a pleasant piney aroma. Taste has pine in it but also has hints of fruit, specifically grapefruit. A rather crisp and refreshing beer.

ROGUE (2216) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - OCT 1, 2013
12oz bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a little khaki head. Big aroma of pine and light citrus notes dominate the nose. Taste is deep citrus fruits, tangerines, grapefruit, blood orange. The citrus is backed by a weak caramel flavor. Medium body with the carbonation being somewhat on the lower side.
